pace is a weapon in attacks and team defence - thats how the bullies kicked us and others in part. Skill is obvious but we need full package. If you are slow you need to be something very special. Straight line speed is not necessarily = a fast footballer. All very obvious but thats what recruiters are paid full time to sort out.

Excellent acceleration and decent straight line pace is key. Excellent straight line pace with excellent acceleration is rare.

Heard a few days ago that a few players (including Masten) were asked if they would be interested in going to Gold Coast but as they all are under contract there were no takers. It looks like Gold Coast will have 4 picks in the top 10 so getting one of their picks would be ideal, but unfortunately it's not an ideal world sometimes!!

I think mitch was looking at st kilda as well,but hes obviously a bigger spud than his bro on the upside when vic clubs pay 500k a year for players like mayne and wells, theres a chance one of em will take m brown hopefully
