I don't think 72 works for Geelong. I think it will be a pick swap and looking at the draft picks each team has, it's very possible.

Vardy looks a potential millionaire at times when fit (aka not very often) but other times looks poor. Played a reasonable amount of footy this year but struggled at VFL level. He can be lazy and that doesn't help when you are injury prone I.e. with rehab.

After years of incredulous disbelief watching our train wreck trading unfold I sit here and for the love of god I cant think how we could possibly have done better!! Mitchell for pick 88 FFS!!! Vardy for a fourth rounder??? Both beautifully fill our needs. Is their room for optimism now? Can we cherry pick the next Cousins with an early pick?

If he didn't have a contract for next year he'd already be gone

Was really disappointing in 2016 - rather than build on some encouraging signs in 2015 he regressed badly.

I'll be surprised if he's at the club in 2018

He's done,he only lasted this long because our kpf depth is appalling

First two picks will be mids

Unless waterman bypasses pick 54 we won't be looking at Ryan though which is a bit of a shame

I think he is a better forward than Lycett and could possibly play a CHF role when NN comes back. His biggest problem is staying fit.

I'd say that - or at the very least he has 1yr of AFL to re-ignight his career & maybe move somewhere else for a more permanent role

Vardy is only 25, even with his past injuries well worth the punt for a 4th rounder. We needed another ruckman even if only as a back up. Hopefully he gives us more than that though.

Pretty good get for what we have to give up.
