I think Collingwood were the major winners from what was a fairly ordinary trade week.

In effect we traded Rhyce Shaw and 61, for Corrie and 46.

Given we almost traded Rhyce as part of the Wood deal last year, plus the fact that most here probably would have taken a Rhyce-Corrie straight swap, pick 46 on top is an absolute bonus for us.

Warnock is worth the punt for Carlton - has the potential to become a class ruckman, but I feel it's also quite likely he won't. He hasn't really shown much yet and is extremely soft, so pick 24 and a massivly over paid 3-4 year deal may bite them on the bum. There is alot of risk attached to this one.

Prismall was a steal for pick 39, but $900k over 3 years for an unproven, injured mid? No thanks. Especially when Brad Green only attracted $1.1mil for 3 years at Melbourne, which is why they couldn't justify snaring Prismall themselves.

Ray is a younger version of Rhyce Shaw or Aaron Foira, for a downgrade from pick 31 to 48. Pass.

Thomson may be handy for the Tigers, they did ok there for pick 42.

So when you compare these scenarios (picks and salaries inclusive) to pick 46 and a very talented, if largely unfulfilled, 24 year old (who we chased hard 2 years ago), for pick 61 and a non required player, Walsh and the list management team should be congratulated for making the most of a bad situation.

Well put! Was trying to think of something further to add, but i think you summed it all up nicely!
