I seriously doubt Collingwood are interested in Danyle Pearce, soft, unaccountable downhill skiers are not what Buckley is after.

seriously why would they need him, they have the best and deepest list in the league

Must be the 2nd time in my life that I completely concur with a Carlton supporter. Could not have said it better myself.

It would be a trade for tradings sake.

Daniel Pearce was dropped this year from the worst side in the AFL. Even though he is contracted or not, he doesn't hold much value. This time next year, he could be like the other Daniel at Port, on the AFL scrapheap.

Hypothetical trade. If Jeff Garlett said he doesn't want to play for the Blues and wants to come to the Hawks what would Carlton fans want from the Hawks?

Nothing less than Buddy Franklin or Roughead but it is academic cause he re-signed for 3 more years :)

This is the Rumour Thread.

It isn't for trade hypotheticals or whether Darling can play in the midfield. So stop posting off topic stuff that gets in the way of the actual rumours.

Yeah awesome reading that last ten or so pages. Want that back when i die.

Thank F*#k for that.
Cheers for getting rid of that dick measuring crap.:thumbsu:
Maybe we can get back on topic again.

not many objective assessments of pearce in here.

is much better than what alot of people give him credit for.

anyone that thinks he will be going anywhere for anything less than a very good deal has rocks in their head. is in contract, and, if he did want out would be the best midfielder available this trade week by miles.

i dont think he is going anywhere.

Pearce could be a very good midfielder. But his attitude seems to stink when the chips are down. Would be one of those players that improves greatly in a good side.

FWIW i see him worth about the same as Ebert from the eagles.

Wouldnt mind a 3 way trade involving Colyer, Ebert and Pearce all worth similar IMO.

Big news coming out next week involving 4 teams Saints, GWS, Blues & Tigers. Goddard & Dal Santo involved in this trade and a young star that quite a few clubs want.

It doesn't take long to get off topic here.. But:

Good senior players don't get sent to the SANFL when youngsters are copping a hiding in the AFL around him.

In case you didn't notice, pretty much everybody that got a game for Port this year was dropped at one stage or another. It's generally characteristic of coming 2nd last.

Hasn't shown it when it matters mate. Agreed though general consensus from PAFC would be to hold him, but regardless he can not work when tagged and therefore has to be considered a liability at any club.
I actually think a change of role could be in store, ala Davis, maybe off a half back flank, has got pace to burn of course. Tags accross teh backline haven't been as prominent as they were in years gone past. This could work in his favour but, in conclusion no I do not see him being at anywhere other than the PAFC.

So, Essendon lose a second year player, who is exactly what we need... A quick Midfielder who can play forward and snag goals.
In return we get a player who's had a couple of good games in the past 3 years, who, cannot handle a tag, and skills are still very iffy.
Pass.

If Goddard, Dal Santo and O'Meara are involved then it'll need to be Murphy, Kruezer, Martin and Cotchin from Carlton and Richmond to get any equity.

Goddard's been linked to O'meare for a while. Would be the best GWS could get for the number one pick in the Mini draft.

It's going to be massive, this deal between the four clubs has been discussed between them for quite a while now.
