That is true I'll acknowledge that... But he only managed 6 games this year after being overtaken by a 17 gamer. You wouldn't say his value is at a high.

Jacobs (33) and Mumford (28) may have been speculative ruck trades but only to a point. I'd say Adelaide and Sydney would have been pretty confident these players would have turned out to be better ruckmen than Maric.

RFC knows what they're going to get with Maric which is why they won't be prepared to pay overs. Jacobs & Mumford should be considered the benchmark (both better players).

Mumford and Jacobs? Hale is a far better benchmark. Mature player, fell behind the pecking order at his club and only managed 12 games last year...guess what North Melbourne got for him?

If they want him, yes. Maric has said he is happy to stay if a trade can't be worked out. So we don't have to trade him, but you guys want and need him atm. He is more than just a stop gap for you.

It's still a extremely valuable pick, to have an extra pick in any draft for the next few years is just to much of an upper hand to throw it away.

As I said, almost no chance of Adelaide getting it's hands on it.

His girlfriend plays for the Adelaide Lightning and they had their opening game on Saturday night, so he probably flew to Adelaide to watch her & now he's flying back home to the Gold Coast...

I only mentioned Ellis because someone on the Hawks board heard on SEN that he was in Adelaide for a medical. So it wasn't really my opinion as such.

Hale was traded to Hawthorn for Pick 27 and 71.

I would have thought being one of the RFC recruiters, you'd be spending more time making the deal for a third rounder, rather than filling us all in on BF.
