If the reported deal for MD2 is correct:

#10 and Davis compo for MD2 and 14, then you are massive winners - especially if you compare it to what Gold coast have paid.

Do we suspect the multi club deal is being submitted bit by bit, it looks like you lost on Gunston but win big on this one - I wonder if there's more to come.

Davis Compo is very valuable considering GWS probably think we will finish quite low next year

I took issue with your "we got **** on Gunna" comment

This is why I said let's not go off prematurely until we understand how the entire strategy shakes out

Did we not get ****ed on the Gunna trade?

There is two separate questions: (1) Gunston trade (2) Whole of trade week strategy.

We could lose on (1) and still win on (2). It's even possible that losing on (1) will help winning on (2).

Now, the more optimistic of us thought maybe (1) was part of a staggered version of the 4 club deal mooted yesterday, in an effort to circumvent the regulations put in place by the AFL. However, now that GC haved traded in O'Meara, it is apparent that this is not happening. So the only conclusion to make now is that we got screwed on (1), as was to be expected.

Quayle just tweeted we want Luke Brown (Norwood- he was one of the pre-listed mature age players that GWS nominated) tied into the Crouch deal

Ebert is underrated on this board. Not a world beater, but a very able footballer.

Similar to Mick Doughty, knowing what we know now about Dogga's career, he would certainly be worth a second rounder (yes I'm drunk and still realise that 24 is a first rounder, but meh) 12 years ago.

To be fair, if the deal was still on they would have had to trade O'Meara anyway, if only to eventually get him back, maybe he is still on his way via GCS.

Now that the O'Meara (MD P1) trade is through with GC and it looks likely #10 will be involved in the Crouch (MD P2) trade, this is how the Top 14 of the 2011 National Draft will look like: :eek:

1. GWS
2. GWS
3. GWS
4. GWS
5. GWS

6. Port Adelaide
7. GWS
8. Brisbane
9. GWS
10. GWS
11. GWS

12. Melbourne
13. GWS
14. GWS

That's 11 of the top 14 folks.

That's what I'm excited about. I have faith in Sando to stick to his word to move us up the ladder. Either us or GWS would've activated the pick, so the higher we finish, the better we come out of the deal :thumbsu:

Has Crouch finished his schooling? Might impact on decision

He has.

I just can't see this happening but never know. I wouldn't be against it even though I don't really rate Ebert that highly...

He's a ball-magnet and has a tremendous work-ethic, but these days a midfielder really needs burst speed. And if they don't have it, they need to really hurt with their disposal which Ebert doesn't offer.

It's a shame because he's a natural footballer. Put him in the SANFL and he'd tear up. It's just those small things that make a big difference at the highest level and I don't think he has them. I still reckon he could be a competent AFL player, much like Symes.

Yes, I think we need to target players who we truly believe can be a part of a premiership side.

Ebert - AFL Standard...yes. Premiership standard....no.

So as I say, while I wouldn't be against it I just don't see it happening.

What is this tweet from AFC??

I'm going to ignore the rest of your post, because it is complete shit. Noble has stated this is all part of a far bigger deal for us, it is only Wednesday ffs, there is still 5 more days to go, just be patient and judge us at the end of the week.

The thing that is pissing me off is the fact if the super trade did go through, there wouldn't be all this bullshit sooking from our supporters.
