Went to training today to have a look.

I apologize but I don't have time to write a big report but was good to see Shuey having his first training session with the main group today.

Masten, JMac, Wilson, Ebert, Butler, Wirra, Cox, Spangher didnt train with the main group.

Kennedy was training with the main group and looked sharp.

NicNat took a great pack mark in one of the contested drills, might be on the news tonight.

The last person to leave the ground today was somebody we all want in the team this week. He stayed behind doing an individual agility exercise, any guesses who I'm talking about?

You don't have to apologize mate. Im sure everyone appreciates it whenever anyone does a training report, no matter how long.

And those that expect a detailed report, while not having gone themselves, are pratts.

Cheers

he wants is bad, and i guessing once he gets it he's not letting some goonge take it away from him.

He is always last off the tracks according to a lot of these training updates.

After everyone had left the track he did an exercise with one of the unknown coaching staff for about 15-20 mins.

There was a ladder and five or six small cones.

He had to sprint using small steps through the ladder then attack/tackle the coach as he tried to get past him through the cones. The coach was too nimble in the first few but was shown to watch the hips and how to anticipate where the opposition player was going. He caught on pretty quickly and had his number after that on most occasions.

He then continued using the ladder movement and the coach threw the ball up forcing him to mark under a little bit of pressure.

Was interesting to watch him work like that 1 on 1 and perhaps just an exercise used to sharpen him up because he has missed a couple of weeks with his injury. 99% sure he has the green light this week, which by all accounts is not news.

Anyways...

great news about shuey
i think his goal is to play afl this season

That would be great if the Shoe got up for at least half a dozen games this year.
Shuey might even be ahead of Masten for a midfield role because of his body size compared with Masten.
I don't expect to see either of them in the midfield much this year though.

Would be a fantastic little side story if Shuey got up for a few games towards the end of the year. With his sister and the injury and getting drafted having to move over west ect.. it would of been a majorly tough year for the kid who is still what 17?. Great to give him and his family a little plus on this year to try and balance out the bad.

Thanks Prank. Once again, I am endebted to you for your time spent at training and writing the reports up. Naturally I have posted my first born to you. Thankyou.

Good news on Shuey. I hope he turns out ok and that he wants to stay in the west.
Interesting to note that the WC players have been behaving themselves. Hopefully guys like Shuey will prosper in the 'new' environment.

thanks man:thumbsu:

I am also grateful Prankster and will be forwarding my left nut to you.

Thanks Prankster.

Did you notice much of Naita's marking? Has he become adept at the 1 grab or does he still juggle it a little?
