We had a massive pre season playing 3 games plus 3 nab challenges prior to round 1, we now seem to be tiring in the last quarters saints and Essendon hopefully they are managing the training loads during the week as we don't want it to waste away in the second half.

Training loads not a factor at all in my opinion. We have started 8-0, if anything the increased match simulation has been a positive influence for us. It's the players mentality that needs a massive readjustment. Bunch of pretty boy, front runners at the moment

A bunch of lazy *ing front runners is what is catching up.

We've been able to (luckily) stay 8 zip, but continue this attitude of trying when you want to with no 100% effort regardless of scoreline and we will get murdered in coming weeks.

Interesting for you to be posting this Scooby.

Hearing whispers the boys are tired, or just putting two and two together and looking for an answer?

I'm putting it down to last quarter injuries.

Both matches we lost players in the last quarter which affected our run. (Wells+Higgins last week and Mason Wood this week)

Still doesn't excuse how horrible we've gone late in both games. It's a concern.

Training loads. Managing the midfield group in the second half. One less mid, small forwards not keeping pressure, well, lack of them. All factors. I'll keep faith.

Daw, Brown, Petrie, Goldy and Waite will never play in the same side again. It was a poor decision today to do so.

In saying that the last two weeks have exposed us and shown a weakness that needs to be fixed.

But which to drop? Surely not Daw after todays game. He was excellent

To some extent, I think so... But I didn't expect it to catch up to us this soon.

I also think it's the forward press game plan. Our pressure looks manic in 1st halves, but we just look tired after the long break.

The dogs game was especially tense too, and I think it took a lot out of us. Both teams were out on their feet in the last qtr of that game.

Excellent at times and really poor at times.

Liability when opposition have the ball, he's the broken link in the chain on so many occasions.
Brown was really poor today but has runs on the board.

If we could somehow morph Daw's physical qualities and Brown's brain we'd have the ultimate footballer.
