Any possiblity of board members posting daily training news here?

Is anyone in a position to do this or at least every other day?

I guess it should be a sticky

I was thinking about heading down for a squiz tomorrow morning, but that certainly wont be a regular thing. IP gets down there quite a bit.

I walked the dog for an hour yesterday, followed by a few beers. Plan to do it again today.
Hope this helps.

Best I can do is that I saw Pav, Sandi, Elvis, Murph and Macca at a cafe as I drove along South Tce this morning... they were tucking into a post training snack by the look of it, and Murph and Elvis appeared at a quick glance to be seeing who could fit the most into his mouth... :D

Will try and get a proper look in sometime soon. :)

I went down and had a bit of a look this morning.

I thought Sandilands looked damn fit, fitter than I have ever seen him. He didn't look like the 120kg monster weight wise, he just looked in proportion. One of the trainers were competing against him in contested marking and the trainer got injured after about 3 marking attempts.

JLo had very little strapping on his knee and looked like he wasn't far off joining the main group.

Tarrant eased into some short sprints, but spent much of the time doing laps with JLo.

The forwards lined up with Murphy at FF, Pav, Solomon and Farmer. Murphy looked a lot bigger in the upper body.

Mundy and Dodd both trained with the defensive groups when they split off. Headland was with the midfielders.

Rumble didn't look out of his comfort zone at all as a defender. In the drills he followed Pav around and wore him like a glove, with Pav giving him pointers at every chance. I would not be surprised one bit to see him elevated rather quickly.

Parker, Grover and McPharlin looked very sharp out of the defenders. Watching Parker move around out there, I really am baffled at supporters calling for his head.

I'm pretty sure I saw Browne drive off not long after training started. I'm not sure what's up there, hopefully nothing too serious (that hamstring injury he had previously was pretty bad and may haunt him for a while).

Thornton looked to have put on a bit of muscle up top, not bucket loads, but he didn't look as scrawny as in the past.

Bennett Copping, well I am not sure why they have persisted with him. I had a good look at him today and his skills didn't seem up to scratch. Had no weight, and looked to be lacking confidence.

Mourish looked like he needed a bit of work. A year in the WAFL should be good for him!

Schofield still seems to be spending some time around the club. Does anyone know what his role is there?

I only caught a few glimpses of Dunn. He was with the midfield group, he looked fit and quite at home. I'd like to see a bit of Dunn in the pre-season competition where we have the extended interchange bench!

There seems to be a large upswell of support for Rumble on this board, do I hear the word that knee capping is being investigated to allow for his elevation ?.

Lay off Parker, I agree. Top 5 in the Doig for 2006 shows he was doing his job.

Hope Macca is doing well, he doesn't know the words, "give up".

As official Buddy of Rumble I feel it is my responsibility to get people talking about him. I can't help it if so many posters are getting ready to Rumble! (Seriously, he has the best name for a fullback ever. Ever.)

Just for the record, I am a massive fan of Shane Parker and would never, and have never, suggested he shouldn't play.

Can you go to training at the moment, even though the season has started? Is it open to the public? :)

It wasn't advertised and on Friday there was only about 20 on lookers including the media, but the gates are open and all are welcome.

Haselby was with the main group. He looked to have a way to go fitness wise from what I saw, but that will obviously come in time.

That in itself is a huge improvement. Before Christmas, whenever I went down, Hase was just running up and down, away from the main group. The fact that he's now joined the main group is a very big :thumbsu: :thumbsu: .

Look we've seen Hase play a pearler of a game on one leg, if he can just get two legs working, losing weight and not getting puffed are minor problems.

Hase is the X factor, really a forgotten Freo factor. He is the path to a better Dockers 2007.

He didn't look to be over weight in the slightest, looked very lean and fit, he just needs the conditioning, and as I said that will come over time. I think he's well on track!
