He stated on draft day he rated Davis at number 2, only trumped by Jack Watts.

This isn't his number 2 for EVERY club, just the Crows because Davis is a local. So if he was picking for West Coast he would have picked Naitanui at number 1/2.

Kind of. They are different players, but I think we were just after the best available KPP and McKernan was an outstanding junior KPP left at pick 28, so he was the obvious choice. I'm sure we would have taken Trengove had he slipped to pick 28.

His rating would take into account what we need too. Hence Nicknat not on radar as we have a plethora of ruckman, but need forward talent.

All make sense now.

Love what Rendall did. Just go and talk to Chocco, get him distracted so he cant focus on what he was down there to learn from the crows.

Also Rendall decides .... I want just talk to him ... why not stand my 7 foot man mountain body infront of him while im talking to him so he cant see jack anyway.

No wonder Chocco left early.

Is David rated higher because he is a better player, or is he rated higher because of less injury risk? If they were both 100% fit who would be rated higher?

P.S. Trengove actually has an "e" on the end and only 1 r.

Really hoping to see Walker atleast in the NAB, running laps away from the main group doesn't sound encouraging.

I doubt anyone on this board could answer that properly.

Rendells your man for that, although Rendell did sy he had Davis pencilled in as our first round pick from over a year ago so obviously something stood out.

Id love to see some of him in action in the NAB as he's been limited this preseason.

True, and I don't know a whole lot about Davis, but he seems to not look like a convensional KPP, but rather a more, dare I say, Chad Cornes frame. Not sure if they'll play similar roles, but he looks pretty fleet of foot.

I just watched 10news (from last night), they said "Phil Davis went off the ground with a cut shin" as was reported, but their footage was actually of Ricky Henderson leaving the ground with his calf/shin strapped. So I presume it was actually Henderson who cut it, which makes sense given that Phil Davis had ice on his knee - not something you would do for a cut.

I know these two guys look similar facially but that's pretty poor from 10.

Yes, Davis came off and iced his knee while Henderson came off and strapped up his calf/shin - so I'm assuming that it was actually Henderson who cut his shin, rather than Davis.
