I don't understand why you would even think of deriding posters for being excited about JDG's return to training - are you working on a daily post quota.Good to see McStay has adapted so quickly to the Collingwood injury pattern. At the rate he's going, with the second set back to his injury, he will be lucky to milk 10 games from this season.
Don't understand the excitement at JDG on the training track today, other than the fact he is here not in Bali or elsewhere OS. He still has 2 games to go before being eligible to play.
Wasn't there, so yet to see him running. I'll keep an eye out tomorrow.Jen2310 Steele’s involvement? He was apparently at least a fortnight away a fortnight ago pre KB. Your report seems to imply he’s tracking along well unless I missed any reference* to running away from the group or an absence?
*I skim read.

The 32-year-old suffered a strained medial collateral ligament (MCL) in his right knee early in his 300th game for the Magpies against North Melbourne in Round 11.
Sidebottom has since been in a brace, but will soon start running again and is targeting a Round 18 return against Fremantle at the MCG.
“It’s slow and steady at the moment,” Sidebottom said on SEN.
“I’m stuck in this brace for what’s been three weeks. Hopefully one more week in the brace and a couple of weeks of running.
“I’ve set my sights on Round 18, so if I can be around (Round) 18 or 19 then I’ll be happy.”
Another theory could be if he sort of split the webbing or the skin somehow when jarring it last week, and then that got infected. Sort of like when Mihocek split the skin when he dislocated his finger earlier in the year (that didn't get infected though as far as I'm aware).
People are excited because they won’t have to listen to you bitch about him not being there now.
Probably because you carried on like a pork chop about this extra leave you imagined he was having?
I don't know where or why there's excitement about JDG being at training either .. he's suspended from playing, not suspended from the club. I guess there are the smart arses who assumed once he was suspended it meant he was off to Bali for a month..![]()
You don’t remember what’s happened in the past????
Why don’t you respond to the poster herself and ask her?
Maybe ER posted it because you carried on about De Goey supposedly being granted extra leave- which she’s just cleared up that he isn’t.

You come across as a killjoy
It was a strong response, but you went strong at JDG when we weren’t standing in the way of him travelling and then the post in here so I’m thinking it hasn’t come as a shock?
Feeling a bit attacked TheGreatGrundy?

No shock. Just indicating I still have a sense of humour, a quality somewhat lacking in many posters in this post lockdown era.It was a strong response, but you went strong at JDG when we weren’t standing in the way of him travelling and then the post in here so I’m thinking it hasn’t come as a shock?
I think there’s plenty of humour on here just take a look at the McStay thread. It might have just been the wrong topic to drill down on given your posting leading up to the bye…No shock. I believe it came from reports that De Goey would be given additional/extended time-off with no travel restrictions:I think there’s plenty of humour on here just take a look at the McStay thread. It might have just been the wrong topic to drill down on given your posting leading up to the bye…
FWIW I didn’t read back, but if there was excitement over JDG being on the track that’s ridiculous. He’s a fit professional footballer why wouldn’t he be on the track.
No shock. Just indicating I still have a sense of humour, a quality somewhat lacking in many posters in this post lockdown era.
He didn't train with the club leading into the Dee's match, I think. But then again, a few seemed to be missing from the limited training sessions that week.I believe it came from reports that De Goey would be given additional/extended time-off with no travel restrictions:
Coach Craig McRae said the club will give De Goey additional time off but won't limit the 27-year-old's movements, despite controversy over his "disrespectful" behaviour while partying in Bali during his mid-season break last year.
"Absolute trust in Jordy," McRae told reporters on Wednesday.
I’d assume the same. My take is a bit more relaxed and I don’t see any reason to get excited about a person returning to work after some annual leave… I suspect it probably comes down to JDG and I’ve probably got more faith in him than most on here.I believe it came from reports that De Goey would be given additional/extended time-off with no travel restrictions:
