These types of records are bs tbh. I told a lot of people before the Geelong game that the Simmonds Stadium thing was a myth because Geelong only play non-Victorian sides down there. In the period that their record Simmonds Stadium streak was there was no non-Victorian side that they weren't significantly better than except maybe Sydney on occasions. Sydney surprise surprise was the team to beat them. This year freo actually gave them proper non-victorian competition.

This record is also stupid IMO as over the years Sydney have beaten West Coast over and over, Sydney have been the far superior team. Only 2011 have West Coast actually finished higher. They played them in round 3 when West Coast were still looking like the rabble they were the year before. Over the same period I'd guess we've actually played Sydney very well. I wouldn't worry about stupid records like this. We shouldn't lose this one IMO.
