During that period in the back half of the season where we averaged 78ppg and had no Hill we went 6-6. The 6 wins were against 18th, 17th, 14th, 12th, 11th and 5th our inability to score was a bigger factor in our second half of the season malaise than whichever attacking HB is going to be exploited.

To reiterate we’re now worse on a personnel front with no Mihocek and speculative replacements. The likes of Buller, Hayes, West and HH may come on or they could do an Allan bouncing between levels. If we can’t score we won’t be at the pointy end leaving a lot riding on the speed of our ball movement and Pendles playing a critical role.

I don’t expect my take to be popular so I’m sure plenty will disagree like yourself.

That to me is like suggesting a snail and sloth are faster than a tortoise because all three are different degrees of slow. What it misses though is the footy IQ and experience all three bring to the table which prevents them being exploited in that way. Along with how the team grid sets up to protect those attacking HB’s.
I think it’s less about personnel and more tweaking the gameplan to suit the list.

Remember when Bucks switched to fast transition for that one year and we had guys like Stephenson and Josh Thomas kicking 30+ ?

Really comes down to the coaches box on whether we progress or regress.

Not telling you anything you already don’t know, but I’m less concerned about who we’ve got in the forward line and more about how we get it there.

Seems like a strange decision to play our last practice match 7 days before our first game. Think given we play R0 we should've played our GWS game a few days earlier and our North game on or close to Friday.
I wonder whether that’s a deliberate plan though - perhaps the issue was just that we were underdone the last two R0’s?

Most likely why we chose to sit out about 50% of our best 23 yesterday

Not expecting much this week on the training track i think we have the same line up v north at Mars.

Maybe a few changes thats about it.

I think there's a intra club match sim at KGM set to played this Wednesday in a team black v white full match sim.

Looking to be the last few match sims until the season starts up.

Last real chance to get the body right and begin the season cherry ripe.

Not long to go now.

Yet plenty were to quick for him 10 years ago and are long retired now
Pendles hasn’t gotten too slow, it’s just that since 2005 there’s now finally enough game tape of him for opposition coaches to put some work into him.

Lot of changes in think. Nick and Josh, IQ, Lippa, Long, Perryman, Cameron, Schultz and Moore (if fit, seems unlikely). Thats 8-9 changes to the 26. Also all these would be expected to be in the starting group ie the 18 plus those.who will rotate in the early part.of.the game. They will need a hit out before NM.

Crisp too. Don’t think he played yesterday either.

This game v north I expect ( those who are fit) will be the OR line up. So I expect many changes.

Exactly. This is our only game before the real stuff begins. Time to build some synergy

That's a lot of data. Then they had to wait for AI to come along.
