Meanwhile, reports in Italy state that Croatian striker Andrej Kramaric has rejected a move to City after his club Rijeka agreed a fee of £8.5 million with City on Monday.

The reports suggest Kramaric would prefer a switch to Italian giants Juventus.

However, Rijeka Sports chief Ivan Mance is reported to have stated City are still in the mix.

"It is not correct," he is said to have stated about the reports in Italy.

"We have not rejected a bid from Leicester. Negotiations are still ongoing, and everything is still open.

Anyone know this guy? I don't see how we can compete with Juve if they're actually interested. 8.5 seems steep but I don't know if he's any good

Don't have to convince me. Already seems odd.

Is he actually any good?

He's got 37 goals in 41 games. That is the Croatian league though.

Remember how those scoring stats worked out for Fulham last January? ;)

He was excellent for 6 months. Then he let a couple of soft goals in around this time last year against City & Chelsea and hasn't really got his form back since. I'd happily play Schwarzer over him atm despite him playing well against Basle.

I guess Mignolet can be quite good when he's in form but as you say, he's prone to letting in some soft ones too from time to time (actually not too dissimilar to Krul haha).

Maybe Rodgers should have a loo at Matt Ryan, think he signed a new deal recently but is getting some interest from around the continent... something to add to and keep that strong Aussie-Liverpool tradition going! ;)

What's the go with Brad Smith? Think I recall he was recalled from loan?

Begovic pisses all over Mignolet, always has

Mignolet at Sunderland was better than Begovic at Stoke. He's regressed since joining LFC after a good start.

I have my doubts that Begovic can make the step up to LFC and may just end up like Mignolet.

Brad Smith was recalled because of injuries and a lack of game time IMO. Would love Matt Ryan but what he needs is consistent first team football and he may not get that with us. Apparently he's off to PSG in any case.

Cech still has 4-5 years at the peak of his powers. We'd be nuts not to go for him and im sure he would rather play than sit and watch Courtois all season.

He may be happy to bide his time and then get the pick of the litter come summer, he will want to go to a CL/title challenging team IMO

Wow, hadn't heard about the PSG link, that'd be interesting to see...though likely be on the bench wouldn't he?

Damn auto - correct! ! He's off to PSV, not PSG!

Yeah heard about that. We were linked when he was at CCM and we were Championship and I was very very keen. Other City fans rubbished the idea given he was plying his trade in the A-League. Bit of egg on their faces now I'd suspect.

if ryan is smart he'll play a bit more in belgium and wait until ac milan or someone come knocking. still young, no need to rush his move now, plus he's the clear and deserved no 1 for aus.
