Chelsea are unable to loan directly to an opponent after purchasing him in the same window. So, Leicester buy him now and in summer Chelsea buy him for what Leicester paid + extras.

It'll be worth it if he keeps you in the EPL. It's distasteful the way Chelsea do some of their business but not against the rules. Could be an FFP thing for them.

I don't get what you're missing? They do want him, but want to loan him to you guys. They can't loan him to you guys due to the way the rules are set up, so they're doing it this way instead.

If a club bought a player and immediately loaned them to Leicester, would you hate said player because they were clearly going to return to their parent at the end of the loan?

You'd think there'd be a purchase guarantee from Chelsea for the price Leicester has paid.

That's why I don't want him though. The player wants to be at Chelsea. I'd prefer we buy someone that wants to be with us.
