I don't think compensation applies when you transfer to a different association.

Will be really interested to see how he goes with a bit of match time. Reckon he's a quality footballer, not really given a chance to develop at Bayern.

He's been given plenty of chances for Bayern. He just doesn't take advantage of them and sees himself as better than he actually is.
