Maybe Moussa Dembele will interest us again.
When have you guys ever bought a quality kid and invested a heap of games into them/they became best XI right away? At best it seems a lot of them are just squad material like Zouma, or they get loaned out like Courtois and many others.

I can only think of Azpilcueta in this regard and he was like 21-22-23 when you bought him IIRC. Hazard was 21-22 also I think when you got him, but he was a world beater already when you got him so it would've been eye raising if you didn't build around him straight up.

I'm not sure Dembele will be the right fit if you went there, you guys always seem to value experience/maturity above all imo with your transfers, players who are 24+ etc.

I guess Oscar was another one that came in young as well and held his spot as well. Stagnated though after a couple of seasons though. But it does happen occasionally.

Dembele does look a pretty special talent, but we've got one of those already at Swansea. In a perfect world Costa would stay another season or two then Tammy would get a shot but we stuffed that up.

Oh Tamara went to Swansea did he? Cool, will be good experience for him.

Yeah forgot Oscar, he was well established when you got him though in regards to the Selecao and stuff, but there hasn't been many u21s to come through and demand a starting XI spot straight up at Stamford Bridge.

Only really Bertrand.

feels like this bloke moves clubs every window

He's been at Norwich for the last 7 years but I know what you mean because he has that "generic English goalkeeper" face.

Like if you were creating a player on FIFA the default face would probably be John Ruddy.

Correct.
The fact that we are still interested in Danilo suggests Costa isn't as close as I'd hoped
Didn't Costa just fly into Turin?
