No they aren't. Shakey has said they're still 15m short and we're not selling him for less than 50m.

Talks of him having a medical this week are also false.
I have a feeling Mahrez is holding out for an Arsenal move, but has to wait until the end of the window as Lemar is our number 1 choice. If we sign Lemar I think he stays at Leicester, if we don't I can see us signing him for ~40m late in the window.

mahrez will have his roma medical on thursday
The club have already confirmed that Mahrez isn't having a medical at Roma this week. They've still not met our valuation of him.

He apparently did want to start in England so I'd say you're right. If you don't sign him then I could see him staying though. Don't think Roma will stump up the cash myself but we'll see.

"Pochettino disclosed that Álvaro Morata, Chelsea’s new £58m striker, previously rejected a move to Tottenham for fear that he would be unable to compete with Kane."

Morata talked about myself, in the media– he said: ‘Mauricio called me,’” Pochettino said. “That was from the beginning, two years ago or more. He said to me: ‘Why do you want me if you have Harry Kane?’ You know, if you go to try to sign a striker, they will say: ‘Eh, gaffer, you want me for what? To be on the bench?”

I guess this is partly why we have Janssen....

Yep I think he will be lining up at the Emirates on the opening day of the season, for who is the only question.

If Alexis goes, you might well see both signed.

Surely fake?

That is why we wouldn't agree to terms with Batsuyahi as we would only give him wages of a backup to Kane. Real shit spot to be in as all we can hope for is unearthing an unproven gem

Yep also pretty feasible. Either way I think Mahrez won't be going anywhere until very late in the window.
50m, or no dice.

I hope he also gets the idea that if he wants to be going somewhere, he needs to perform and put in an effort.

I also really hope he doesn't go, we need to keep our creative talent, especially with Nacho coming in (hope that helps a lot).

Having the best striker in the premier league is "a really shit spot to be in"?

Want to swap? :)

Nope. Written in the Guardian with quotation marks attached.

probably wouldnt mind the camera being anywhere else.

douglas luiz and marlos moreno almost certainly dont quality for european work permits right now. moreno barely got on the pitch for deportivo last season, and when he did, was largely underwhelming. hopefully he was just getting used to it, he's apparently a really good talent. luiz is highly rated in brazil, but he's still only a kid and doesnt qualify for any of the criteria to get a permit.

If they sign him, that would give them...what?... 2 out of last year's starting 11 in their likely starting 11 for this year?

Our only worthy starters will come from Donnarumma, Romagnoli, Bonaventura and Suso, Of those Donna is guaranteed, Roma pending fitness is as well, Bona has Calhanoglu as competition both can play CM or LW, And Suso will depend on the formation we choose to play.

If we could get Costa and we play 3-5-2 which Montella is tinkering with ATM our starting 11 would look something like

Silva Costa
Rodriguez Bona/Calhanoglu Biglia Kessie Conti/Suso
Romagnoli Bonucci Musacchio
Donnarumma
On paper that's a very strong side in Serie A, Costa would put us in contentionm of top 2 if things go our way IMO.

I suspect you'll be challenging, whether you get Costa or not.

I definitely think we need a proven goal scorer, Higuain is so consistent when it comes to scoring makes life so much easier, Right now we don't have that and I think Costa would be perfect.

Very excited for the season to get underway, I'd love to push Juve at least make em earn it a little more.

Agree with that, Costa I think makes it a very very tight title race.

Bloody good side. Milan hopefully become a European powerhouse once again.

We are going to make a tidy profit this window. I think it will end up to be about £70m once all transfers are completed. Chelsea are doing things the honest way these days. We are England's version of Atletico Madrid. Unable to compete with the big teams financially but still manage to snag a trophy here and there. Glad we give hope to all the other little guys in the Premier League.
