Statement from the FA, who were also fined: "The FA notes the decision of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee published today. The FA has cooperated fully with FIFA’s investigations, although we have raised some concerns with FIFA regarding its disciplinary processes. The FA intends to appeal the decision. We will however continue to work with FIFA and Chelsea in a constructive manner to address the issues which are raised by this case."

So it looks like the FA don't possibly agree with FIFA interpretation of the rules perhaps?

Would recalling one of Chelsea's 646 players on loan be considered a transfer?
No. We can sell and recall all we want. And we'll still have this summer to try and get the squad in order.

Apparently there is 4 other EPL teams under investigation and could face bans too.

We copped a ban when we were no longer allowed to cover school fees for an academy transfer (we had agreed to cover them before the rules changed).

There's some dodgy stuff going on with youth transfers. Paying an agent £200k for a transfer of a 14 year old is a pretty extreme example.

we will be getting a similar ban to chelsea.

said it before, the youth transfer industry needs to be looked at big time. been way too dodgy for too long. said before how uneasy some of the stuff has made me when you see how hard clubs are trying to sign 13 year olds and such.

but if there's a proper investigation done by the fa we certainly wont be the last club to be banned.

Just served our ban. All good from our end.

Not sure I follow Matt here. 29 breaches but grounds to appeal lol what?!?!

Weird logic. Ted Bundy wasn't found guilty for a number of crimes of which he was accused. I guess that gives him grounds to appeal all of the crimes for which he was convicted.

Apparently Spurs could be one of those 4 other PL teams that could be being investigated, and over the enigmatic Musa Yahaya transfer. What a ****ign weird one that was.

Not that a two window ban will have any affect on us. In fact, Levy would probably welcome it.

i think that u/17 nigerian side from 2013 will be the source of a couple of the investigations.

That's not what you copped the ban for.

You made an illegal approach, and got caught when the rule change came in that you can only pay school fees for all of your scholars, not just select ones.

So you stopped paying his fees and he grassed you up over the illegal approach.

City should have employed him in one of their Abu Dhabi “consulting” firms instead.
I'd be surprised if he wasn't employed by City Football Services.

All of our scouts work through through them.

They're a UK registered company fwiw.

Clubs might not have changed their ways but it's a hell of a lot easier to get caught nowadays.

It used to be that you had to be stupid to get caught, now I think you need to be stupid (or very careless) to break the rules because if you do you will get caught.

The same firm that paid Mancini for his “consulting” fees I’m guessing? ;)

or have a belief of being too big and powerful to get caught. the top 6 especially seems to have quite an arrogance about them.

Nobody is fooled by Mancini getting paid more as a "consultant" than what he was getting paid to manage City.
I think one or two are a bit confused why though.
