YUCK!
This fills me with little joy
Can only hope he brings the post-Emirates bottler with him :moustache:
Always felt Ramsey was a victim of circumstances and the culture that was allowed to grow at Arsenal. Injuries didn’t help of course, but I think this move will finally see him consistently take his game to that level of one of the top midfielders in Europe. His willingness to leave the premier league bubble and test himself at a top club says a lot about his attitude.

It’s almost unbelievable that in the modern game Arsenal are letting such a talent walk for free without even offering a contract.
Arsenal have been letting players wind down contracts for a few years now

And FWIW, he's what 28-29 now? Great for him to test himself elsewhere, but he's replaceable.
Everton want Batshuayi on a permanent deal and to offload Tosun and Niasse somewhere this month according to SkySports.
Would be a decent get
I’m convinced it’s his nationality and his appearence. If Willian was a pale Scottish bloke with a sloppy rig, bald head and a name like John McDonald, he would’ve been loaned to a relegation battler years ago. He probably would’ve never been purchased in the first place. But because he’s from a football trendy nation, has an afro and a unique name, people make assumptions on his talent.

The amount of world class players we have lost and money we have turned down due to this fraud is truly amazing. One of the greatest mysteries in football. I wouldn’t be surprised if Barcelona were taking the piss with their bids and were doing it for laughs. They’re probably so bat shit bored of their league that they need something to keep them entertained so they’re making stupidly high bids for Willian which they know we won’t accept. They can then laugh very hard at the fact we’re the only club in the world that thinks he’s a competent footballer. Marina is probably preparing a five year contract extension for Willian on the back of their bid which has a clause that ensures absolute playing time. Barcelona are the ultimate trolls.
Lel, though Barca did buy Paulinho and found a role for him

Who knows
Oh my god, you really would start an argument with yourself in an empty room. I thought that last post would have ended you involving yourself in everything you can here, but clearly not.

I'm glad we didn't sign someone who only wants to get away from the club within a couple of years, it's not about his talent. I'm happy with Richarlison because he's much younger, and if he's not better than him right now, he sure as hell will be. Bernard definitely has the skills to be as well & is also younger, he will still need a bit longer to adapt to the league though. Much better situation than a 29/30 year old trying to get an exit strategy going after investing a lot in him. Silver lining for the Hammers if it all ends up true as that the Chinese league are ******* idiots & they will make a tidy profit on him.

Maybe time for you to stop digging :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy:
Maybe you shouldn't get so upset at someone contributing to a discussion on a discussion board, or have you missed the other half dozen people also agreeing that Arnie is a lot better than what you have?

Why are you having so much trouble just saying "My mistake, I didn't realise he played as a striker, I was wrong". Or save yourself the trouble in future and don't try and sound like an authority on something you clearly know nothing about?

If you're going to get that sensitive about a couple of smilies then you need to sort your priorities bruv.

(PS I love that you're still comparing him to your left wingers when everyone and his dog has told you he's an out and out striker)
Lolololololololololololololol

SMelty at it again
Sky Italy reckons Obiang is leaving to Fiorentina for 10M.

He's been a decent player for us, but never really developed into a first team player ahead of Noble, so for that amount, I'd probably let him go.

And by the sounds of it, we'd be trying to sign Medel as a replacement for about half that amount.
Medel is quite versatile too, would be alright I think, even though he's getting on

Sounds more and more like Arnie is going.

Will Lanzini and Yarmolenko be fit next season? Hypothetically, what would your squad of 18 next season be if Arnie was sold and everyone was fit?

Yep both should be back by the end of the season.

I'd expect Carroll, Perez and Chicarito all to leave with Arnie or at least 2 out of the 3, and we sign at least 2 new strikers. I'd also expect 2 new fullbacks, Masuaku is likely to go and Zabaleta may retire.

So we may need to spend another 100m in the summer, but getting 50m for Arnie plus some more sales should easily fund that. I reckon we'll go after Maxi Gomez from Celta Vigo, 22 year old striker who has about 10 goals, Andre Silva might be an option otherwise.

Really?? But he's awful.

It’s not going to happen but he’s a great ball playing defender and we need a left sided CB to backup VVD. Matip can’t stay fit and Lovren falls apart when playing twice a week.

chef CHO posted this. There’s still hope lol

Just admit you haven’t watched a minute of him this season lol

I think many just associate Luiz with the madness of the 7-1 loss to Germany. That game will haunt many of the Brazillians for a long time to come, but he’s much much better than what was on display that night.

When he is bad, he is really awful and he prone to having those games a couple of times a year(had one of those against Tottenham a few weeks ago) that makes it easy to forget how good he is most of the time

TBH all players are prone to having a couple of bad games a year. But yeah, he can have a pretty big brain fart now and again.

Admittedly, he’s had some stinkers, but when he’s on, he’s amazing. His no look assist on the weekend was no fluke. No one talks about it though. If Pogba did something like that we wouldn’t hear the end of it. Luiz will always be under appreciated.

Yes all valid points. The gap between his best and worst is quite wide and that’s what makes it difficult to remember the good.

Would definitely have him at Arsenal, but then again an inanimate carbon rod could do a better job for us at times.
