He wouldn't start as the striker so no he wouldn't start ahead of Rashford, he wouldn't start as the LW so no he wouldn't start ahead of Martial, replacing Herrera or Lingard would mean he is being played out of position. It really isn't that hard to understand. He is an attacking mid or a left winger. Those positions are covered by Pogba and Martial.

Yeah, not sure why ADL9798 is finding it so hard to understand. Now if Coutinho was a decent RW he waltzed into the side as a Mata/Lingard alternative, but again, out of position.

Coutinho is a long shot merchant that got found out. If I’m a defender I’ll just think “Oh Coutinho is cutting inside on the edge of the box is he? better just stand there and block it.” Now what does he do? Nothing.

And I'm not even saying he isn't a quality player, he just doesn't replace Martial or Pogba in the United starting 11, and he certainly isn't replacing Rashford.
