I got over it mate.

I've read through some of your stuff. I know how you roll. The above is further evidence.

It's apparent that reasonable debate is beyond you. That's ok, there are plenty of others willing to be reasonable. It was literally the very first post of mine you ever quoted and it was done to just dismiss what you didn't agree with.

I should have thought better of continuing the discussion with someone who won't debate in good faith.

Enjoy the season. :thumbsu:

You don't want to debate, your "debate" is "Well Pep and Poch once said he was great so that's all that matters to me". That's the flimsiest point of argument I've seen on here.

This all began because I dared to suggest Leeds had started the season with a leaky defence and that Bielsa wasn't happy with it and then you've had some sort of crazy meltdown about it. You tried to put me on the spot with pinning down where I thought Leeds would finish and I laughed and said they'd come last on 0 points. Wait, no, I said it was too early to tell and if they beat some of the mid-table teams it'll be a lot clearer on where they'll finish.

But every chance I get I just pot them.. supposedly.

You obviously can't rank managers. Some are great at managing a star-studded squad, others at making an average squad overperform... Swap Guardiola and Chris Wilder, and quite likely both City and Sheffield Utd would be worse off.

Guardiola and Pochettino made their comments because they clearly rate something in Bielsa's work very highly. The way Guardiola talks about him, that doesn't sound like being nice and giving a colleague some praise.

The first bit is spot on. Some are good managing a top side, others a good taking a "lesser" side and making it better. Two different skillsets.

Guardiola raves about Bielsa, and has done for years FWIW.

After all the pissing and moaning by Bobby Duncans former agent who promised he would get first team action at Fiorentina he is close to joining Derby on a free after spending a season in Italy playing u19s.

Has missed a lot of junior football trying to fast track himself into senior football.

What's a transfer?
Well it's not quite a transition and it's not quite an offer, but man.. hahahahahahahahaha
So to answer your question I don't know.

Whether clickbait or not, this certainly would be interesting. No idea of the cost, but I imagine it would be fairly significant seeing as he won Gladbach's player of the season as an 18 year old prior to moving and knocked back Man City for Bayern 12 months ago.

You would think he would be seen as Thiago's successor.

He will get more minutes this season without Thiago and Javi Martinez. No way they sell him

Pep Guardiola says he's the best manager in the world. Mauricio Pochettino says the same thing.

But do carry on.

I'm afraid that you've missed the point of my post.

The point was to note that there aren't 20 managers who are definitively better than Bielsa on the planet.

Also, what you've noted doesn't refute what I've said all along. He's undeniably a brilliant influence, but that doesn't make him a brilliant manager. Pep and Pochettino are conflating the two, probably because of language issues.

Haven't you basically used the opinions of Pep and Poch to bulldoze aside anyone with a contrasting opinion on Bielsa's Leeds?

My God, the way you go on about him he's the best thing since sliced bread and it's amazing that Leeds haven't built a statue in his honour yet.
Loonerty we gonna keep this thread to transfers or what??
