Just had a look at Lukaku’s weekly wage because it’s almost always about money and one article claims he was Inter’s highest earner on £142k a week or £7.4M a year. He earns double that at Chelsea.

Inter ownership were /are desperate for cash. Good chance they pushed the deal through to get the 97m on offer. Sounds like Lukaku would have stayed if he got a pay rise and Inter didnt need the money.

He was close to staying(he scored 4 times in the preseason)already, but like Gallagher it was thought one more loan would be better for their development. I guess thats proven right.

He's got the talent to get games for us next season.
