Doesn’t stop Liverpool.

It’s one of the biggest shitholes in England.

What’s important is the surrounding areas really.

And tbf, no one footballer earning £100-300+k a week is living in anything other than the nicest part of the city in mansions and gated communities.

Darras Hall which has its fair share of Billionaires and Celebrities isn’t exactly slumming it.

Never been to England, but I always hear people say everywhere but London is a shithole 😂😂 is it actually true?

No. Plenty of brilliant places.

Liverpool is a shithole though.

What would you compare Liverpool to in terms of places in Victoria or Australia?

Don't know Victoria well enough to be honest but in Sydney it'd give me South Sydney vibes. Rough area but with the saving grace of water to make it at least worthwhile.

And to be fair, the Beatles tour I did there was top notch.

Nah Manchester and anywhere south of London plus London itself are great. Birmingham and Liverpool are gash. Good times to be had in a few places like Leeds or Newcastle but **** it'd be grim to live there.

Silly boy. You left this open to the response being Geelong and then I’d have had to have mashed the report button and pestered chef

The Edgbaston test has a great atmosphere, as does Headingly in Leeds.

I lived near Finsbury Park for about 3 months in 13/14 and really liked it as a place to live, in terms of being so central to things, but the actual suburb was a bit dreary. Nothing too bad though.

Having been there 5 times in the last 10 years the best part about it is the nightlife and pubs which are up there with Newcastle as the best in the UK. Some of the bad parts are pretty bad like toxteth. Nearest equivalent would probably be Adelaide for me.

Cheshire is also nearby which is pretty swank and a great place to visit. You'll find most (not all) players from Liverpool/Everton/City/Utd are all based in Cheshire. It's a huge attraction for the WAGS.

There really isn't an equivalent up on tyneside. I guess the Saudis could promise new signings a private jet for their families to use to head down to London or Cheshire for the day to make signing there more attractive.
