Could be helpful on FFP figures for all clubs if they change hands for roughly the same value too. All will get a 80m boost on their current books with just a 16m hit on this year's books (assuming they all get new 5 year contracts).

Doesn't really work like that.

Doubt it, cause he's 34 and not that good
he's 33 and not that good but season ticket holders have never told the club they would be cancelling if a signing was made. Nor has the club received so much backlash from former players before.

United linked with Cody Gakpo from PSV. This is how bad it has got for United, linked with a striker who scored 12 goals in a farmers league last season.

Gakpo would actually be a good signing. Prefer over Antony.

No idea if he is any good though.

Would be a nice addition to our attack but not many signings are certain to be successful, our club is the masters of crap ones.

I mean it's beginning to seem like you're Everton of a few years ago. Signing a bunch of Wingers/Number 10s instead of strikers or players you need (No need for a midfield, McFred is elite)

Blind Freddy could see we have needed a 6 since Michael Carrick retired. The club couldn't predict not having number 11 available but we are desperate for another striker regardless. I mentioned it in the United thread but Martinelli had a lot of trials at United and wanted to sign but we turned him down because we had number 11. Because having 2 gun young forwards is a ****ing bad thing?! Right Back has been a problem for a while too and needs addressing asap.

Bruno and Pogba couldn't play together so Pogba leaves and we bring in another 8 in Eriksen. Now we are linked to SMS, another ****ing 8, who we could have bought 5 years ago for a similar fee but no lets wait until he is 27!?

Malacia looks to be a nice player, not too expensive and with high potential. We should have used that profile to fill in the other gaps in the squad. Martinez looks great on the ball. We'll see if he can handle the prem. Could have bought him for £30m but we ****ed around and so paid £50m.

We got rid of so much deadwood over the summer and now we are panicking and buying more of it on expensive wages who we will not be able to move in the future and the Glazers won't sanction us buying the correct player next window if we have bought another midfielder in this summer!

Ten Hag has never wanted Ronaldo to stay but the Glazers are demanding it for commercial reasons. The whole things a shitshow and yeah it is similar to Everton in a way. Manager led recruitment worked when Fergie was around but every competent club has moved on. We have had some of the best DOF's and scouts in the world at Old Trafford over the years and they all leave. This is because the Glazers sign off on every deal and hire external consultants outside of United to advise them. WTAF. Nothing will change while the Glazers are still around. I was saying to a mate yesterday that I can see us coming mid table this season. I have confidence in Ten Hag as a coach but he has taken this job too early. He should have waited until poor performance on and off the pitch forced the Glazers out before taking the role.

It is an open secret now but United don't have a big budget for January or next summer (sub £50m). An ITK said yesterday that United had been turning down offers for AWB and have loaned out Ethan Laird and other youngsters with the view that he and others will come back after loans and start for United. We are in the Wenger 'like a new signing' spin cycle.

Yeah, good physical characteristics, scores and creates, positional flexibility and about the age where he is ready to take the next step. 12 goals and 13 assists in 27 Eredivisie games. Cost probably less than half what Ajax want for Antony, who had 8 goals and 4 assists in 23.
