Shame he never got a chance to come home, just the way some contracts fell at the very end

Still attends LUFC games and has right throughout his career.

He was a pretty high level cricketer as a kid.

Might become Englands new #3 batsman.

Being whipped by the wife is one thing but the father in law is a whole new kettle of fish. He can't let Danny pressure him surely. Got to do what's best for your career.

Whether that's stay or leave. Loyalty or premier league football for future England squads.

No one solution fits all players.

I can appreciate a need to support her with the kids though. Surely though he could live close to London and commute to say, Birmingham for Villa?

Unless WHU want Jarrod Bowen gone, he has a contract until 2030 with his London based club.

If he needs to sacrifice some of his wage because of the drop down in division, oh well…

Sounds like rich people problem.

I think there's 150m reasons West Ham will be looking to move Bowen on mate.

I bet that's absolutely bullshit. As if Danny is going to put genuine pressure on him to stay, knowing what staying in the PL would mean to them.

Bowen's England career might be over. So that wouldn't be a factor in his decision.

He might be willing to stay at the Hammers if they maintained his reported £150,000 per week. Or they might want to get him off the books and put £40m transfer fee in the fund for a squad rebuild.

There's no way they'd be able to keep him on 150k a week in the championship.

Ridiculous article. Of course the missus will follow, a footballer's career is short. Not like she can't go to and from London.

And she would do just find in Cheshire if he moves to a northern based club. That's got the biggest WAGS scene in England.

They have to until a transfer is done. Unless there were stipulations in his contract reducing wages in the event of relegation.

Well there is some financial relief for West Ham as their already subsidised 4.4m yearly lease is reported to be halved upon relegation:

No wonder they didn't bother with their own stadium. That's an unbelievably sweet deal subsidised by the taxpayer!
