Re: Confirmed summer transfers thread.

Robbie Keane (Tottenham) >>> Liverpool (19 million)

What a muppett, just as Spurs are starting to get seriously ambitious he jumps ship. Liverpool won't be competitive with the big London clubs and Man Utd in the coming seasons. London has too much pulling power for the top foreigners and Man Utd, well they are just Man Utd.

Robbie made a boo-boo

hahahahha... the Yids have been "promising" that for years...and NEVER delivered ;)

It's a lot of money to pay for Keano and so he'd want to deliver but at least now he'll be able to show his wares on the Big stages :D

19 million for Robbie Keane . Tottenham are laughing all the way to the bank with that one.

I've always rated Keane, and he will be an excellent signing for Liverpool. He can create, he gets goals, and he's the perfect striking partner for Torres.

19mil looks like a lot now, but I reckon he can be as influential for Liverpool now as the McAllister signing was several years ago. It just wouldn't surprise me if Liverpool stay in the title race until the very end.

16:38 Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez insists he has not abandoned plans to sign Aston Villa midfielder Gareth Barry, but confesses he will be forced to sell in order to raise the necessary funds.

Such a bigger club than everton... has to do the same tactic by selling players to buy..

Ha ha, Spurs supporters getting ideas ahead of their station.

Esp. when we are going to waste it all by paying almost the same price for Bentley.

Yeh, nah.

I rate Keane, but he's not David Villa. Liverpool are still a fair way off the title until they get some decent players out wide.

We'd be silly to buy Yossi back, we'd be making a loss on him.

If we sold LBM buying Yossi back would be acceptable (As long as we sell LBM for a couple million, Keane will give us that :D ).

Where would he play exactly. I would really like us to go in for NZogbia aswell as a strike on loan to finish out purchases of.

Any Newcastle fans know the whereabouts of young Charles. Havnt heard much about him since the end of the year. Still looks out of favor.

Yeah, only would've cost another 15m.

Villa would of cost 35.3 million. Maybe in Valencias wet dreams he would of. If you offered 20 or so mill for Samuel Eto, you would of got him.

We'd be paying 10m+ for N'Zogbia because Newcastle wouldn't even consider loaning him out and he'd want excessive wages. He's also a midfielder, not a striker. No thanks.

I'd play Yossi on the LW BTW Embers.

He's publicly stated that he doesn't mind if he stays now.

He's also featured from the start and been one of our best in both of our pre-season friendlies thus far.

If we were to sell him, it would be on our terms.

UNITED are ready to pull out of any deal for Dimitar Berbatov after being quoted a price of £38m by Tottenham.

The Reds initial bid of £20m was rejected by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy who accused Sir Alex Ferguson of being "arrogant" and reported United to the Premier League.

Ferguson and chief executive David Gill won't be held to ransom over the Bulgarian striker and are ready to look elsewhere.

Other possibilities include Samuel Eto'o, Roque Santa Cruz and Karim Benzema, while a report on Monday suggest the Reds could be tempted by a £15million bid for Barcelona striker Thierry Henry.

He wouldnt, would he??
