I love transfer deadline day. It's exciting even when your club does nothing.

Everyone is predicting big things for City, but they forget one important factor and that is that it's MAN CITY! It'll all go pear shaped somehow. Maybe.

Robinho will most likely take a season to acclimatise to English football. I don't think City will pull up any trees this season, but if they spend well in January and next summer then I guess they'll start to challenge.

no way. he's brilliant on the ball. more skilled than Ronaldo. apart from Messi he has the quickest and trickiest feet in the game.

he's not stewart 'we have liftoff' downing but he'll be ok.

Im not AC, but I will try and answer this one anyway...

The precendent was already there, but not in this format with the biggest stars in the world. Already kids have been taken from teams that can offer better wages, or in our case, jobs as gardeners for their Dads...

I dont like it, but without 6+5 there is no real way to resolve this, salary cap wouldnt work...

I think if Chelsea had to they would've offered as much (and then Manchester City would've probably offered more) but this one's more about Real Madrid giving Chelsea a big '**** off'.

I'm happy with that, but up front is a bit of an unknown quantity. We have a couple of utility players in Corluka and Gilberto to give us extra cover in mid/def.

He's a bit of an unknown really though, but he's meant to be fairly good. Still, he's got to adapt to the EPL.

Has any club ever sold a player putting in a "transfer request" after signing a 5 year contract extension with the club 4 weeks beforehand. The club have even taken the article about McCartneys re-signing of the club site.........Its as dodgy as you get.

Alot of lieing by our board. According to them Anton refused to sign a 40k a week contract but according to Anton the contract offer was withdrawn before he had a chance to accept or reject it. Before he knew it he was whisked away to Sunderland....
