Pretty simple question really. Can i just ask why in the hell every single year the draw comes out Collingwood are the ones that travel least out of every club in the competition?

True i guess.
well they argue its the same as anyone else
and they do draw huge crowds which would help
Mmm yeah? which gives them more chance to expose themselfs around Australia more. Should embrace traveling interstate.

Collingwood has an awesome interstate record...
May I ask why at least one thread must be made about this EVERY week of the year?
And for the record:
Geelong
Essendon
Carlton
Richmond
North Melbourne
Western Bulldogs
St Kilda
Hawthorn
Melbourne
ask the AFL to play Collingwood twice a year...Of those several need the game so they can survive financially (every dollar counts) If we play interstate 1 extra time (since we play 4 times interstate as opposed to some that play 5) then you will have to pay those clubs in danger EXTRA...
Also there are several other teams that only travel 4 times as well...

Until each team plays each other twice, this ridiculous, petty whinging will continue. Collingwood is contracted to play 14 games at the MCG and 4 at Telstra Dome, not much can be done about that. Every team puts their requests in for the fixture and most if not all Victorian sides want to play a home game against Collingwood and why not. We do pull big crowds which generate revenue for the home club, so why would they not request it.
Being form a two team town I wouldn't expect the creator of this thread to understand how hard it is for some Victorian clubs to make a dollar. Also Port supporters are not use to large crowds so why would a club play there in front of 24,000 when we can play at the MCG in front of 50,000.
At the end of the day as much as people love to bash Collingwood, we cannot be everywhere and believe it or not, it is for the better of the game, not us.

I am filthy that we only travel 4 times next season. Most of the interstate sides were rubbish this year, so we have been majorly disadvantaged by this stupid draw![]()
That goes to show the lack of pulling power Port has, seriously Collingwood could play a side from Mongolia and get 40,000 through the gate where Port struggle to get 30,000 to a home final. The last time we played you at the MCG there was a crowd of 29 and 27,000.. one on a friday night![]()
