I’ve given up upon the hope that Travis Cloke can be our star player in the forward half. He has too many faults to carry such a title: His kicking for goal is atrocious, his contested marking leaves a lot to be desired, and he goes missing during critical times, and then plays well in trash-time period, eg the Melbourne game…
I think swapping Nathan Brown into the forward line, and Travis Cloke into defence, will be a better option. Seeing Nathan Brown as a key-forward was exciting: he is a strong contested mark, always has a presence, and his kicking action for goal looks solid.
Maybe Travis Cloke as a key-back could be an option. Because I think our forward line without him will look much more balanced and effective.
