So if SPP had jumped into the air before the collision and not been able to change direction, would that make protecting himself ok?

So on 99% of occasions when he hits the contest hard you probably stand up and applaud, but when he gets it slightly wrong he’s dumb and over zealous?Yes and any player who was smart and paying attention would've realised this already and stopped running into contests in the way Powell-Pepper routinely does.
So effectively sitting out for 6 weeks? Wow.So he can't play in the trial game and he still misses the opening 4 matches? * off.
Then he misses another week because of stupid 0 round or whatever they're calling it.

There's been concerns re concussion for a while now yet inconsistent suspensions4 games imo is about correct weight with the concerns about concussion. Club support for a team does not come into appraisal of any player given a significant penalty.
You do realise how many concussions in a game don't get diagnosed and are completely missed right? That's irrelevant.
Just because someone has a harder head and needs more force to be knocked out doesn't concern the MRO/Tribunal system.
A concussion is a concussion, that means the impact is severe if the player doing the action to concuss the other person, has committed a reportable offence.
If you are talking about McCartin and Marshall at the SCG, McCartin has a "soft head" for want of a better phrase, and Marshall did nothing that was a reportable offence. A bump to the head is a reportable offence.
You do realise that the MRO can only make a decision based on the evidence he has from the vision, and he can only make a ruling based on an action being a reportable offence, not some minor concussion that barely registers and has nothing to do with a reportable offence. You do realise how many concussions in a game don't get diagnosed and are completely missed right?
The Fox story was ambiguous but this just now:So he can't play in the trial game and he still misses the opening 4 matches? * off.
Then he misses another week because of stupid 0 round or whatever they're calling it.
You pressume wrong. If intention is irrelevant now and mitigating circumstances are not heard by the AFL then if players are concussed in training in similar incidents like this then I assume they'll also be suspended if they're cited and there's vision?
You can find a incident that supports your argument and I can't find one that supports mine...it's an absolute raffle. You pressume wrong.
Look at the Rohan on Cameron incident I posted a video of from last year a page or two back.
I don't agree that they should be able to play any trial games or serve their suspension in preseason but the fact that the club had to ask and the AFL hadn't enacted a written rule re this before the season started shows how amateur this organisation is. Laura Kane is a laughing stock already.Powell-Pepper should be able to play the trial against Freo, and then play SANFL trials vs North Adelaide and South Adelaide.
