I have just about finished another season of tax work. The organisation went through a restructure of its admin area in Aust centralising it to Vic. I have done work at 2 offices this year with a new Manager being appointed at the 2nd office.

At one stage she asked me what she needed to do with a cheque she had received from a client. I responded with “what do you do with the cash you receive?”

The look on her face was priceless.

Thanks for that - I'll just put the cheque in my wallet then and spend it at Woolworths.

I received a cheque today. In the mail. What am I supposed to do with it? Put it in the bank you say? Where do I find one of those?

NAB has just released a cheque deposit feature on their internet banking. Just snap a photo of the cheque on your phone or ipad and upload it as per usual. Easy.

I'm with Which Bank - I don't know if they have the same thing, but I'm fully expecting them to tell me I could have deposited the cheque via an ATM when I take it in.

I cashed a cheque at a bank the other day it was easy as piss & they were excited to see me I guess they only get about 3 in person customers a week.

With the Big Banks colluding with that fraudulent **** forehead Commissioner Hayne in trying to destroy the Mortgage Broking industry, it will be interesting to see if the banks actually start increasing their branch operations. Probably not, the Banks will continue to cost cut and yet another poor result for the consumer and win for the Big 4 Banks. What a shit show that Royal Commission was.

I'd probably get a better return from buying one share in CBA than I would from saving five times the amount of the cheque.

How was Ride?
Really cool. Feel like they played a couple more tracks from Going Blank Again than at the other Australia gigs and they played Charm Assault which I wanted to hear. Hope they upload the set list.

The Forum is such a sick venue too. Always great.

I didn't think it was possible to regress from zero but this child has now slept for three hours in the last 24. Will not sleep in anything that isn't a car or pram. Getting worried she'll always have sleep problems.

Come to Adelaide and book into Torrens House. I don't know but you will probably need a referral from your GP. Don't just accept it or you will have no sleep for 4-5 years. But she will eventually sleep they all seem to.

Were things on the improve until last night edgeman?

In some ways. She doesn't wake up as much being upset, she wakes up happy and playing and smiley, but she it still waking up and becoming more quickly and frequently and then won't go back to bed at all.

Felt like a dozen times last night I got her to sleep rocking her or walking her in pram and within minutes of moving her to a bed or crib she was wide awake screaming.

Apple is going to hit them for 6.

Mate, for the sake of your sanity, your relationship and your kid get to Adelaide and see a sleep specialist.
I don’t want to sound melodramatic but speaking from experience you have to!!

Only advice I can give when my lad was a baby he was constipated and crying.. I spun the ceiling fan around and made it look like it hurt when it hit me... he laughed pooped then slept.. sorry to hear your still having issues edgie.

All of the above, assuming you're controlling everything else (routine, temperature, light, good meal before bed.. we also found separate room helps) the only advice can be to see a sleep specialist if you're still having this degree of sleep issues. I haven't heard of someone yet they haven't been able to help.

Yeah you need to see someone to help edgie. Going months without a proper sleep is unhealthy and dangerous for you and mum.

The Sleep Doctor will tell you to let her cry it out.... As long as she is fed, warm, and healthy.

Had issues with my first. Let him cry it out.... Night #3 he slept 12 hours uninterrupted and hasn't had an issue since.

It's not for everybody though.

We did this after the little guy started waking up multiple times per night at around 4 months of age. The Doc basically said he’s hungry so feed him solid food and then leave him to cry until he gets the message that there’s no more room service (unless it’s time for another feed).

The first night or two were pretty brutal but he improved dramatically after that.

Was 6 months for us.... We were going insane.

First night he cried for 29 minutes straight and then went back to sleep for the rest of the night (we checked on him as soon as the crying stopped).

Never looked back. That 29 minutes feels like hours in the middle of the night though.

Indiana has never slept though, ever. Even in the womb we noticed she was much more active in the night. Her first night this side of the womb she woke constantly in the night and the midwives said at that age it isn't much to worry about. A couple days later and I have three of them and two doctors helping me get her to to sleep in the lounge area of the nursery so mum could sleep surprised it was taking so long.

Never liked swaddling or dummies.

From the get go she's been determined to be difficult!

(Last line was light hearted in case it wasn't clear... great baby, just need to get this sleep thing moving in the right direction)

Add to it about 18 months before we got a puppy that did not sleep either and was up all night and I was up all night chasing her round the house making sure she wasn't pissing and shitting everywhere.

I hate to compare dogs to babies but that dog warmed me up well and truly. That dog is harder work than some people's humans.
