you see that's where we differ, I never thought that, I also had in the back of my mind that he always wanted to return and finish his career in Victoria..that was made perfectly clear!
His constant denial would have made many feel lied to

yes...but it also damaged the club, now all we ever hear is how the 2006 premiership was tainted. Fletcher needs including in that mix too.
Who cares what others think? It's just an uneducated troll. We were the 2006 premiers and nothing changes that. It's not like there's even any proof that players were under the influence of illicit substances for the Grand Final let alone on performance enhancing ones. Anyway, there's no rule saying you can't play under the influence of recreational drugs.

I think if we were playing better this season I would be a little less bitter & twisted at Judd but at the moment I HATE seeing him running around in a jumper that isn't WCE!!!!!!!

I won't be at the match (working!!!) but if they are kicking our butts I think I would have a "brain snap" & have a big BOO (hoo).

well its a divisive issue I think we call all agree on that...

Yes! it is certainly a topic that gets people fired up.

I reckon we faired better..we got the very best out of Judd at the right time.

Fair enough. I was of the opinion, we didn't get enough.

You may have thought that but others didn't. I read somewhere that someone wrote something like this in regarding to Judd's situation:

'We love him more than he love us"

In a way, I think thats spot on. This is guy that some supporters name their kids after:eek:. All I am saying is some people wanted the dream.

I agree that there has been significant damage to the club, regarding the premiership that was 'tainted'. I don't like that either. But since Fletch and Cousins both apparently could have die in last 18 months. I am really grateful for their families sake the fact that both have not. Basically its people lives > football clubs.

Anyway, hoping for a good game and an Eagles victory :thumbsu::)

Yes we did get the best years out of Judd and its time to move on. And he well and truly paid his dues.

Of more concern to us is that we have been trying to rectify our tainted image, (courtesy of Cousins & Co), in the eyes of the AFL public Australia wide and we ain't going to do ourselves any favours by carrying on like moronic Fremantle supporters. Use your energy to lift our team - we can win this one and we need too.

Lets hope we dont create an embarassing image of our club after everyone's worked so hard to live up to a "new breed". I am sure our 22 boys on the ground would be embarassed to see some sections of the crowd boo a friend/club stalwart and also trying to undo all the behind the scenes they are doing to clean up our tarnished image.

We matter as a club - lets support it!

Since when has a clubs image won you a game of footy or a premiership?

I couldn't care less about our image.

And I very much doubt any reasonable footy fan would criticise us for booing our former captain who is one of the greatest midfielders of the modern era.

I am not sure our boys would be too impressed with your attitude of "couldnt care less about our image". You just dont get it do you?
Being positive has achieved far more premierships than a negative attitude and actually heaping crap on one of the greatest WC players whose given you such enjoyment just doesnt make sense. Sure, yell at the opposition team but leave the personal gutter stuff out of our club.

A team's image purely relates to the sponsorship and marketing areas.

I highly doubt that Quintin Lynch cares that Joe Blow in Victoria thinks we are drug addicted scum.

I also highly doubt that any other supporters in the AFL wouldn't boo if in the same position. Whether they recognise that or use it to troll is pretty irrelevant.

I don't think the idea is as bad as it has been received here. Turning your back on the bloke as he entered the stadium is not too bad, it could be a nice symbolic gesture. Then as the Eagles run on a massive cheer to show him the fantastic parochial crowd he was missing.

It is not like you would not watch the game from then on. You don't really need to boo after that too. The point has been made and you can just get on to watching footy. I don't think commentators would blast us for doing it, I think it would make headlines for being symbolic. I mean really, what is the difference between booing the ____ and turning your back on him??

I think some people are being a little hypocritical to ridicule this idea, but then advocate booing him every time he touches the ball.

Upon saying that, I will probably just be booing him as this would only work symbolically if everyone did it. And we know AFL supporters are not organised like, for example, European soccer supporters.

When was Rowan Jones booed? I never saw that, did anyone else? If it did happen, must have been a small element, because I never noticed it. I never heard any commentators discuss it either.

Was all over the radio and the news toward the end of last year... Everytime he got the ball you could hear it at the game... not the whole crowd obviously but plenty indeed.

Dont really care but just thought it was rich of that guy to say that considering

ill remember judd as one of the greats however since leaving us and since my stance on him leaving hasnt changed as well as the current situation of the club he will be treated the way he should be treated by a passionate supporter whos desperate to see his side have a win.

how about thanking Carlton by cheering Kennedy and Masten like crazy.
or at least every time they get the ball..

I'm not wasting my breath on an opposition player.

I hope Judd gets booed long and hard.
Boo him when he comes onto the ground,
Boo him when he goes off the ground,
Boo him when he goes near the ball,
And turning our backs on him is a good idea too.
Let's not be PC about this, the guy's a rat, treat him like one. The bottom line is this:
He deserted the club when we needed him. He looked after himself and no-one else.
He's a great football player; but not a great man, or a great West Coast player.
I see him like a mercenary. In West Coast and AFL history he goes down as one of the greatest ever traitors, and this will follow him as much as his great playing.
Give him what he deserves, and give it hard.

Well, the way I see it there's no reason to boo him or anything like that because the way we're playing they're gonna run all over us anyway! :(

yeh im wiht you, seriously whats wrong wiht people, theres more to these peoples lives than football, so what if he went home ot be with friends and family, id do the same.... move on its been done, he brought nothing but great memories to our club not to mention a f****ing premiership!!!!!!!!!!

What are you on?? He didn't "bring us a f***ing premiership". He should be grateful we drafted him - St Kilda and Hawthorn had the chance and didn't - I don't see them winning any premierships in the last six years! He would not be a premiership player and probably not a Brownlow Medallist if not for us. He didn't play for nothing either - he was well paid and did his job. We owe him nothing. He owed us the chance to offer him a new deal but had already made up his mind to run off home. I hope everyone does turn their backs on him. I am sick and tired of all the hype about whether or not he will be booed. All players are booed by a section of the crowd when they return to play against their old teams. What makes him so special? Carlton fans are still giving it to Hamill.

Just think, when Aker went to the Dogs they booed.
Why should Judd be any different? He WAS instrumental in getting us where we were, but he was also instrumental in royally screwing us over.
I will boo him. You should boo him. He's just another player for another team now, why should he be treated any different?

Bit over this whole issue as well ... but it has got to be said you are very much delusional if you think that we would have won the flag without Judd.
