beginning of the week i was doom and gloom absolutely depressed (from other stuff as well bad combo) but ive brightened up and we have some good ins coming in next week. i never doubted my side till the beginning of the week but ive put trust back into them especially with the youngsters. i tipped ourselves to win. the fact is we have a forward line never played before so it could leave port dumbfounded. plus it has been 9 years since weve beaten them at aami maybe it will be our breakthrough like with brisbane last week. praying for jones and mckinley to kick a bag as well as mackenzie to own the backline.

I can't be bothered making a new thread about this but I was wandering.

We brought Chad Jones in two weeks ago and he tore it up in his first game. We won that game.

This week, we bring in more 0 gamers...

Thoughts?

Be great to see how the young guys go this weekend. Be good for young Mackenzie to play alongside Glassy and learn the ropes at afl level. You'd hate for him to have to play his first game because we had Glass, Hunter or another Key position player out and have that added pressure. Could be a bit of damage control over the next few weeks till we reload with the big guns coming back in for the run to the finals. I am quietly confident about tomorrow though.

Cant wait to see Macca and Mckinley tommorow. Our team actually isnt that bad. Its our B/C Grade team that is capable of winning against most teams. Embley and Braun will be the key players tomrow nite. Our defence is still solid, and our forward line is pretty much the same. Its just our midfield depth will be tested with young players and our lack of backup talls will see out KPP play for most of the time. Although we dont have our A team we can certainly win. The only one problem i have is Judd. I fear he'll be playing under duress and make his groin worse...hopefully he is ok.

It is a pity it takes injury to out of form players before some of these kids get a game. I really hope they come in and impress and we win. We should be bringing these guys in a couple at a time give them 2-3wks in a row and then rotate with a couple of others. Some guy's may struggle a bit in the WAFL but thrive in the AFL.
When I played amatuers I found playing in the lower H-J grade a bit tougher to get a kick but then playing in top-side , C grade at the time, I ran amok and got more of the ball because the skill level around you was so much better.
