What do you guys get up to generally after work? Im stuck in a bit of a rut at the moment.

Couple of days a week I'll go play a round of 9 holes of golf. Come home. Have tea. Clean up. Wife watches the block or the bachelor or some shit and I'll retreat to the man cave and watch youtube videos or maybe some netflix. Got to bed and read for a bit. Rinse and repeat. Don't have foxtel. Dont get any enjoyment out of playing video games anymore. Need to do something more active exercise wise as I'm putting on a bit of weight but I hate gyms and running for the sake of it.

Inspire me please BF.

A choice out of:
- gym straight after work or walk outside if its still nice out or swim laps during the summer
- bubble bath/dinner/shit reality show thatsworsethan12hoursadayoffortnite/ post on BF/ you know what...
- read a novel

Thats pretty much it. Do stuff on the weekend.

In a rut myself due to a bit of tiredness from work.

Come home couple of drinks 1 or 2 nights than wonder off for something to eat or chuck a DVD on/read.

Or

Come home sleep for a few hours till say 9 have dinner back to bed till midnight get up watch TV/surf net till 4 than nap before work.

If I feel like exercise will do a circuit or have a run round the local park before dinner bed.

Exercise/workout with your partner start small and walk around the block. Its like youre leading two separate lives. The first week/month will be hard, but then it will be habit.

Exercising together has so many multiple benefits. General physical health, mental health, closeness with partner etc etc.

On a normal boring night when I'm home on my own:

Catch up on news
Bit of light reading if something interesting happened that day or there's content in my newletters/email
Dinner
Read a book
Watch a series

Otherwise, I'm out with mates or with the gf.

Monday to Thursday are a mix of social sport, gym, grocery shopping, occasional dinner with family etc. otherwise just make dinner, watch some TV etc. Rarely do anything too exciting on those nights but if some event comes up on Wednesday night I'm not going to say no to it. Friday is different. Might go out for beers or eat a pizza and watch sport etc. but there's a different feel knowing that the morning doesn't matter as much. If it turns into 10 pints then I can lie on the couch feeling like death rather than going into the office and pretending to function like a human. Sunday is a bit of a weeknight. Can spend the day and evening doing whatever but once it starts to get dark you know what another Monday is coming.

Lately it's been to the hospital for a few hours straight after work, get home, cook/eat dinner, clean up, TV, bed.

Generally go for a walk with the wife, washing, dinner, relax and bed. Occasionally will go out for dinner but not often.

Now the weather is warmer- definitely going to aim to get to more drinks meet ups in the city (Thursday evenings starting 5.30pm- good for me since i finish work at 4pm) and idk maybe the odd golf lesson, but i can do that on the weekend just as easily.

Night course could be good but i really dont think i have the energy atm. Aim for a short course come Feb/March next year.

Nothing really social. Come home, bit of tidying up around the house, muck around with the kids for a bit, dinner, watch a bit of TV and bed

Try and go for a run twice a week in summer and once a fortnight in winter. With daylight savings we'll go for a walk a few times a week after dinner.

Check on animals food/water and a bit of gardening when needed.

On Wednesday, well every alternative Wednesday night I attend a mixed sex group , it’s like a support group. Really love it. We talk about all sorts of stuff, it’s really accepting etc. The other Wednesday a friend and I run a support group for women only. Once a month I go to a coffee evening with my church friends, once a month a dinner with friends, we take turns deciding which restaurant. I just finished a depression and anxiety recovery seminar, that was once a week on a Sunday night. Sometimes have child related stuff ie last night it was my sons graduation dinner for his school so kids, teachers and parents went out. Other than tbh I come home, shower, put pjs on and go on the Internet on my iPad. Love it.

When I'm not on a night I'll usually finish around 3/4. I'll either watch some sport if it's on, play some video games, do some uni stuff if I need to, do some gardening if it's summer, or watch/play something with the Mrs if she's home. Sometimes we'll go to our parents to scab a dinner. I don't do much but I enjoy the peace and simplicity of the evenings as life is a mess otherwise

Home about 4:30 - 5:00. Quick snack then off to CrossFit til 7:00. Then dinner, a bit of tv or song contest playlist while I do some housework. Then bed around 9:00.

Bed around 9? Srs?

I am 10pm standard. 11pm sometimes. Rare to be up past midnight tho.

Yeah. Never used to be that way but the last few years just do not like staying up late. I'm up between 4:30 and 5:00.
