This guy had a dead set shocker, penalised crows every oppurtunity he could and didn't pay the obvious ones when they were there, his mates further up the ground did that for him !

I know we shouldn't umpire bash but fair dinkum ! That deliberate out of bounds in the second quarter was quite laughable, forget who the Geelong player was (enright ??) he looked up saw no Geelong players looked at the boundary line and kicked it, I know this as it was right in front of me !

There I've vented and I feel good - oh and I know the free kick count was 21-20 in our favour, no problem with the other 2 umps but Wenn you gonna get it right !

Lulz :D!

Normally i don't care which one is which but #22 was so bad i asked the bloke next to me what his name was.

By halftime, my mate and I were simply laughing at his decisions, no one could make any sense of them - other than to say, "He's on Geelong's payroll"

The deliberate was so obvious, all the players including the Geelong players started positioning themselves for the free kick.

I had already called him as being on the Geelong payroll as well, but then that decision forced out some more colourful language.

So it wasn't just everyone in my area that realised that "Number 22" was the main one trying to kill us.. Absolutely shocking umpiring.. That deliberate was right near me also (not in front of me:D) and he knew it was deliberate, it was probably the clearest and loudest i've heard a crowd yell "deliberate", and the way he run over to the fence and delayed his call, delayed it, delayed it, he knew he was going to say throw it in and it would enrage the crowd and he built the drama for it.. I'm certain he loved that decision, it was done with an element of "in your face"..

On the delibrate out of bounds, it was argueable
Enright just threw the ball on his boot as soon as he got it to avoid being tackled with no handball option on the left (the way he was facing) he just kicked it, under the circumstances it looked delibrate but Enright was just clearing the ball, and in those circumstances you've got to give benefit of the doubt to the player who kicked it.

Now, the one that really got me pissed off. Tippett's free against in the 2nd quarter, not the one ont he goal line but the one he marked 25m out. Yes there was some holding in the contest, and Tippett pushed away the defender, and marked it. But it was after he marked it that Wenn called the holding, it just seemed that he was going to let it go if Geelong got the ball or a 50/50. It was only after about 2 seconds and Tippett marking the ball that it was paid against. Yes the free kick was there, but how he let play go on probably to allow Geelong clear it, then calling it back when Adelaide had it, was what annoyed me. The delay, it either meant 1 of 2 things, that was the free kick of the week they were cracking down on, and it just took a while for it to get into his head that he's supposed to be paying those this weekend. Or he was blatently wanting Geelong to win and wanted to **** us over.

The umpiring was only average, 2 were great with fair umpiring both ways, but Wenn seemed to be leaning more towards Geelong, there had to of been an outside effect on him for that. Just like Nicholls last year at Skilled when we played them.

And to anyone, anyone who says that umpiring was the worst they've ever seen, it wasn't as bad as the 1st half last week, and no where near as ****ing bad as round 2 last year vs St Kilda.

The first half was very close to worse than the St. Kilda game, although they backed off after half time.

The St. Kilda game was just a reaming from the opening bounce through to the final siren - I've never been so disgusted than after R2 last year. Farcical that was. Amazing we were in contest as long as we were with all the freebie goals they got.

I didn't think it was the worst umpiring I've ever seen - I thought it was the most blatently biased umpiring I've ever seen.

Usually more effort is made to conceal the bias. In this case it was as if the umpire didn't care who knew he would adjudicate so one team had a better chance to win than the other.

I guess the concept of biased umpires is becoming accepted, so no longer needs to be hidden - no-one can or will do anything about it, anyway.

It's like the commercial AFL concept - even the AFL no longer argues that fixtures are fair - they openly acknowledge that certain match fixtures will happen because they maximise TV revenue and attendance, even if the teams involved gain unfair playing advantage: Collingwood playing the last 7 games at the MCG.

So the AFL isn't even hiding the anymore that umpires work for them, that umpire interpretation can affect game outcome, and that game outcome affects TV revenue and attendance.

The umpiring we are complaining about is the level of what we got every second week away from home up until about the time we won our first flag. This was probably the worst

Not far wrong...what about this one..

Wanganeen...8 frees for himself. Also we were up in free kick count 14 to 13 at half time...no coincidence them winning with 19 to 1 in the second half!
