Wasn’t there also a 50m against Wines following the HTB incident when his head was crushed by the Xerri tackle? Ollie held onto the ball under the pack thinking it was his free. How that was HTB let alone 50 was mind blowing.

We need to seriously clean up some of the undisciplined stuff like Farrell and Wines etc. but I reckon at times we are too clumsy in the contest and give the umpires a chance to call every little 50/50 call on us. It's always the ones that get missed on us that cost opposition goals every single time. To even think we have had multiple times quarters where the count has been 10-0 against is laughable.

It was honestly one of the least enjoyable games I have watched for ages.

We seem to have one of these games every couple of years where the umpires are just determined to destroy us beyond just a normal bad rub of the green and you get 10 or so absolutely comical decisions in the same game that make a genuine 5 goal difference. It's just lucky this was against North because most other teams it would've been the difference between winning and losing.

Reckon we’ve had 2-3 of these games already this year. We haven’t won the free kick once. That’s not just chance and I don’t think it’s all ill discipline. Why Stephens hates us I don’t understand. He is so far off-beam with his decisions, there has to be a personality issue behind it.

Ruck frees are a total guess most of the time. But Sweet doesn’t know what to do at the moment.

He has given away 13 frees in the last 3 weeks, to lead the league on 20 frees-against this year. The 13 would have him the 6th most penalised player.

It’s also not like they are going both ways. Xerri gave away 1 yesterday, Grundy 1 last week (which wasn’t a ruck contest) and Meek zero.

I honestly think that umpires guess the first ruck free and just pay it that way all day.

Ruck frees are the worst and close to most influential frees that can be given out , with a high percentage chance they end up in a goal .

A quick thinking midfielder or ruck can take advantage and play on whilst everyone including the rucks stand there in bewilderment wondering what the free was for .

I think you need to add the 20 min goal review for a ball that was no where near the post.
