wtf is going on
Medders could have had at least 3 in the backs
Rocca used strength then goals, and it is turned over into an Ess 50

then a 30 min + qtr !!!!!!!
wtf !

and he count ... geez that ump forum helped us Eddie
:thumbsd:

You guys were stiff with the Rocca one, but serves Eddie right for umpire bashing all year long and going to the AFL midweek did you guys no favours whatsoever.

That being said the ump who paid the Rocca free would not have had that in his mind when paying the decision. It was probably technically there but very ticky-touchwood.

One thing, when Rocca looked behind him did he know it was a free or would he have not seen the ump when looking behind?

Unfortunately we are always going to be a second rate team til we can consistently beat 3rd rate teams like the Bombers. Sure we maybe didn't get the rub of the green with the decisions but we still should have beaten them.

Don't be ridiculous.. you don't have to suck up the AFL's arse to get a free kick in a professional league

Stop being a knobheaded **** you *******.

Umpires had a relatively good game I thought. Apart from the Rocca decision towards the end.
here was a few others, maybe the clear L Brown head high contact when he was about 45 out. But we can blame ourselves tonight.

Another close win for the umpires...

I normally don't post complaints about umpies but two typicals in the last quarter cost us the game: Rocca's non goal in the last quarter and not paying holding the ball against the Bombers in the play before Leon kicked it out on the full...If the commentators can see it why not the umpires?

Anyone know what the count is now for and against this season? :thumbsd:

well roccas call was absolutley shocking and it was 17 to 7 free kicks or something with 5 or 4 50m penaltys in there. it was without a doubt shocking umpiring.

as for the loss im especially gutted. i had $50 on both leon and swam to win the medal and if we had won i would have been looking at quite a nice profit. however the way collingwood played today we didnt deserve the win. cant win a fotty match with 5 minute bursts every so often when essendon ran ou tthe whole game. josh fraser was absolutley shocking and with hill out he should of just destroyed it.

Umpiring had nothing to do with the loss today. Essendon wanted it more, deserved it more, and got it.
So you if the was 10 seconds less in the game and we had of won, you'd then have to say we wanted it more and deserved to win. Ridiculous comment.

Re: Another close win for the umpires...

Minus the Rocca decision, the umpiring was fine. It just happened one really bad decision happened at a crucial time.

Need to open both eyes when watching the footy, plenty of frees could of gone against us that didn't. Thought they did well today, but then again i understand the rules of football so my view on umpires is rational so it can't be right. Can't blame the umpires for poor skills.

Re: Another close win for the umpires...

Essendon copped a few hard calls in that final quarter too. A 'throw' in the centre gave the Pies a soft free, and one Magpie dropped the ball in Essendon's 50 without being penalised. Bombers deserved the win, umpiring not an issue from the perspective of a neutral supporter.

well that Rocca one was a JOKE.

I am getting SICK AND TIRED of seeing teh umpires make stupid calls that can and do end up having too much of a bearing on the result.
The same thing happened in the Adelaide game.

:(

They wanted it more?

Could not agree with it more the umpires had nothing to do with the loss. Fact is Essendon wanted it MORE!!!

14pts or so up with less than 5 minutes to go we should have been more experienced enough to hold on.

2 Key things Collingwood need to work on if they are going to be a force.

1. Stop playing boundry line football. Teams opens us up when they run it through the centre.

2. When we get 10-20 points in front in games we stop our intensity and think we have won the game.
