finished it, the end become a little less scary and more action orientated.

i got everybody alive accept poor josh, who after the credits turnedout to be alive and turning into a cannibal........... who attacks the S&R team, sams a bitch for sending them in there. definitely the best game released so far this year for mine, currently going trophy hunting which is something i never do
 
Unreal. Love it. Horror being one of my favourite genres glad to see horror treated well lately in gaming. Mini comeback this gen.
 
Only big gripe with this game is the ****ing "Keep Still" moments.

At the end of the game, had only lost Matt, get a keep still sequence, control is on the ground not moving at all, Failed apparently even though the blue was nowhere near the border.

Character gets their guts torn out.

It seems like that's a bug some people are reporting. I haven't had it happen myself yet, hopefully I don't and get someone killed!
Is this like Alan Wake? Or heavy rain? Or mix?
Very Heavy Rain-like in it's gameplay. You get to control the characters, where they look and interact with objects. Then there's the occasional QTE to try and trip you up and get you killed.

I've never played Alan Wake, but I believe that was far more action oriented than this. Any action sequences are mainly handled by QTE like segments.

Yeah, my girlfriend was sitting on the bed about a meter away from me and was like "What the... that's bullshit!"

you got to hold the controller while its on the ground.
Its not a glitch its just sensitive as shit in the last sequence, the controller vibrating can be enough to set it off if its just on floor. (source is reddit)

after having failed the don't move section with flamer thrower dude. i started putting mine on the coffee table and put pressure on the handles to prevent vibration moving it, 100% pass mark after that.

i think it was intentional knowing 90% of people would clue in and just put the control down.

Yeah thats exactly what I was doing, my light was dead center and then it went red as if I had failed.

Horror build up is similar but Alan Wake yep definitely action orientated, linear action with (funny comparison) Luigi Mansion style gameplay.
 
Just watched NickMercs playing the end of the game on Twitch. Lost a character to the same bug I did... confirmed bugged section

Because no information is being given that spoils the game.

You can lose a character all throughout the game - Not a spoiler

You undergo Don't Move Events all throughout the game - Not a Spoiler

No character was mentioned nor the plot, setting or an information before or after the fact that you do a Don't move event (which again, are a staple of the game).

Also, keep still sequences, I literally put the control down.
Don't. The vibration of the control will move the sensor. You need to pin the control down if you want to put it on the ground.
 
finished it again really enjoyed this game worth every cent. loved as the credits role they show you the police interviews and it tells you about certain choices. character wise I couldn't stand emily

don't know how to use spoiler tags but I'm assuming during don't move sequence that the flame thrower guy bit always fails because I didn't move an inch and still got red

This is exactly what happened to me.

It cost me TWO characters and pissed me right off.
