Its so tough to be really successful without a 30 goal per season player in your squad, it hurts but until we get one we aren't relevant for anything more than maybe an FA Cup win.

Well outplayed in the first half by PSG, but we did play far better in the second half. They still probably should have scored at least 3 or 4.

Of our CL group matches, this was always going to be the toughest. I'll take a draw away to PSG any day.

Team selection again a bit bemusing and the second yellows for both Giroud and Verratti were awful decisions. Hopefully this will make Giroud stop being so insipid during games. How can a guy of his size fall over and complain so much?

Probably because he's tried standing up and playing to the whistle, and gets mauled by centre backs without so much as a free kick week after week, then when you see shits like Costa flopping and getting free kicks every 3 minutes, what are you gonna do?

True I suppose, would still like him to be stronger and get his head on alot more balls

I get the sense Wenger doesn't know what his preferred line up is. To an extent understandable given some late inclusions to the squad.

But his comments about Xhaka are a bit confusing. It sounds like he's vying for the position next to holding mid, which would pit him against Cazorla for one spot.

Not sure why Coq seems to be the preferred starter, has he really improved that much since his breakthrough 18 months ago?

I like Coq but to be fair he's not that good. He and Elneny handy squad players but Xhaka really should be starting.

Coquelin has not been as good as his first season in the team.

That's what I meant, he's stagnated since or you could even argue he's regressed. But all of a sudden, he now appears first choice.

Surely we've spent £35m on Xhaka for him to play. For me it should be Xhaka, Elneny and then Coq in order.

Apparently Giroud is out with a big toe injury. Perez or Sanchez through the middle you would suspect. Wenger is trolling Arsenal fans into pining for Giroud.

Surely that means Perez up front. With Iwobi and Sanchez on the flanks.

But it's Wenger, so Ox and Walcott on the wings and Sanchez CF.

ARRGGHHH. Alexis up the bloody front again!

The only positive thing I can think of, and this is stretching, is that Theo and Alexis will have permission to switch roles throughout. I'd love to see Alexis on the right so he won't incessantly and predictably cut in like he does on the left.

Ah well.

We lack a fair bit going forward. Nothing direct in now we do things anymore.
