I also recall many periods of playing beautifully, stringing together multiple passes and putting on an exhibition of aesthetically pleasing, attractive football. But getting beaten.

Give me this any day of the week. 9 wins in a row not playing that well; to me that spells plenty of upside when we do click it together.

Probably never had an easier run of 9 games before either, only Watford and Everton are the decent teams within the run and both those games were at home. Fulham game gives me some hope that Emery may be realising he has to change his formation in order to get the best out of his better players, although the true test will be when we come up against good sides.

The fixture list has been very favourable, but still winning 9 straight games in all competitions is never easy regardless how favourable the schedule is.
