Blatant foul on Mustafi by Maguire and on Holding by Ndidi in the lead up to Holding hand balling it.

Yeah I was watching and couldn't understand why nobody was even mentioning what was happening to Mustafi for the header in on that play.

Some more comments on Ozil.

His goal reminded me of one he scored way back in his first season, in the champions league. Quite certain is was against Napoli, and in fact I feel it was his first overall for the club (could be mistaken).

Hard and low ball drilled across from the right, and he had plenty to do. But just eased the ball to where he wanted it, guided it on the half volley. Clinical finish.

Lastly, he’s definitely more animated than before. It’s clear in his celebrations, and interaction with the crowd. Body language is very different to last year, and seems to enjoy his football again after the bullshit he endured in Germany.

I love Ozil. He's obviously got his flaws, but there aren't many better players to watch. The first goal- all him, great finish. Wonderful pass to set up the second and the third was just ridiculous. The first flick on the half way line really shouldn't have been possible and then he had to use the outside of his left to pass to Aubamayang who was slightly behind him because why not.

Also, we really need to sort out our tendency to let teams into the game in the first half hour.

Think we can roll united and spurs. Liverpool haven’t been playing as well as they were last year.

I'm not sure that's entirely true, they haven't been as good to watch or attacking as well, but they've only conceded 3 goals in 9 games and have 23 points from 27.

You’d think we’d be able to account for United. But our defence will have its work cut out to nullify Spurs and Liverpool, 2 points out of that would be a good outcome.

I didn’t notice the other fouls in the lead up, will have to check again.

But still very fortunate to get away with the handball, just meters away from the ref and surely would’ve been seen. Leicester quite unlucky there.

I'm never confident vs United at OT, haven't beaten them in the league at the venue since September 2006. I thought we'd break the duck when we were flying in 2013 vs Moyes but it still wasn't to be.

Ah for some reason I thought the game United game was at home. Yes aside from the FA Cup a few years ago, it’s been a rough place to visit.

New manager, new team etc, shouldn’t be burdened by history (perhaps sounds easier to say than it actually is).

Old hoof it too 'em Jose coming out with this classic post match:

'No Fellaini to change the direction of the game, like we do so many times before.'

I'm starting to love this Moany almost as much as I hate him.

You forgot the timed dummy leave in between his legs pass from bellerin to let the ball run through to lacazette so he could run forward and receive the pass from laca to set up auba, it was a beautiful, beautiful goal and just displays how ridiulously talented he actually is.

No you’re right but I mean they haven’t really seemed as threatening going forward meaning I feel more confident about snatching a result. They have been grinding out results against many lower clubs too.

Emery is not firetrucking around. That's a strong squad.

Here’s here to win it, he’s said as much. Given Emery has already won it 3 times, he knows a thing or two about navigating through this stage.

I like the approach. At a glance at that squad, would expect at least Welbeck and Ramsey to come in from the Leicester game.

Good win, little bit of a smash and grab job but we were well on top for the last half hour.

I like Guendouzi, he's a terrier, even if he starts badly he always manages to turn it into a good personal game at the end by never stopping, and never dropping his head

Dat guy getting shit done again, good finish. Gee that was a strong XI named by Emery, he definitely means business.

It lacked creativity though, Mhiky, Ramsey, and Elneny gave us little in midfield while Xhaka was being played at left back, we were a hundred percent reliant on banging long balls down for Welbz and Auba to run past their slow defence, and that didn't change until Torreira was brought on.

Seems like the only one who hasn't really improved on last season is elneny from the ones that were struggling.

Iwobi looks a completely different player and looks like he'll make it.

All our signings have turned out to be pretty astute so far as well except maybe lichsteiner, he'll get another chance tomorrow night you'd think.

Torreira/guendouzi/leno and even sokratis have worked out well for us, guendouzi being the biggest surprise of the lot for a kid at 20 years of age from the french 2nd division

Yes Guendouzi has been pretty damn impressive so far. Even in those first 2 losses, looks a real find by Mislintat.

Mavropanos is another one I’m keen to see more of when he’s back from injury.
