🤨 var is a bit of a joke at the moment.

Problem is it's not consistent... 🤔 Well it's consistent in screwing us.

3 points is good. That's about it.

Previous seasons we drop points from that. Our d has tightened up signiicantly after a leaky fortnight or so. Bill, George, Leonard the standouts for mine. Shame Benny Blanco had to ping Ward's arm, was rightfully disallowed. Nelly starting to find form again, gave us a heart in mouth moment after his goal there. Leicester 0.01 xG. How astute is our January business looking now?!

My initial reaction to the Jorginho pending signing was pretty underwhelming, I can only chuckle now at how wrong that was. He's slotted in very well these last few matches, almost seamless. Yes he's no Partey, there's very few on Partey's level across the league in his position. However the experience, poise, leadership that Jorginho has brought over has been palpable. Its very different to throwing in Lokonga from the cold, and an upgrade on Elneny. I've enjoyed seeing the away fans take to him as well, out of nowhere it seems that he and Trossard have been at the club for 2-3 years, not a month.

Speaking of Trossard, that was a cracking finish for the chalked off goal. Laughed at Zinchenko giving him the eye goggles celebration even before Trossard did. Martinelli finished the eventual goal very wellnafter a pretty filthy nutmeg assist from Trossard.

I'm glad Arteta started Trossard, Nketiah has played 90 minutes in every match since the restart up until now. I don't believe he's ever done that in his career has yet and the workload seems to have taken its toll the last few matches. I also feel that Martinelli performs better interchanging and linking up with the striker who moves around more, like Jesus before his injury and Trossard this morning.

Saliba back in town. Ramsdale with barely anything to do. Didn't need to rush back Partey and risk another injury to him like in the past. ESR back on the bench, Jesus making strides in his rehab. Clean sheet, barely gave them a sniff. 3 points, and the chance to make it a 5 point lead this Thursday morning at home v Everton.

What a ****ing season this is shaping out to be.

I didn’t understand the furore about Jorginho. I wouldn’t necessarily sign him as a starter but he had the experience and quality to play in PL before so it made sense to sign him especially as a last minute thing.

Jorginho was excellent.

I prefer Trossard up-top to Nketiah.

Keeping them to 0.01XG is incredible.

At the moment, yes. Eddie has had a hefty workload as of late, Tross definitely the better option. Hopefully Jesus returns very soon

It's mainly because the last few cheap signing from Chelsea haven't been great, his age and form (and lack of pace) for Chelsea as well as not being a glamorous signing.

He's exactly the type of player that suits the way Arteta has this team playing.

To me, it's an amazing sign that Arteta and co have barely got a signing wrong so far.

******* sick of playing against 12 every game.

They're literally looking for a reason to disallow our goal despite Ward making zero effort to try and stop White from "impeding him", yet Soutta tackles Saka to the ground and its nothing.

I imagine we're all Harry Souttar fans after his immense WC, but **** me, how is that not a pen????

Obviously things change season to season, but right now Mudryk must be thinking “wtf have I done” ? The other point is Jorginho, I said at the time I thought chelski were mad to sell him to us, a direct London rival going for the title, love the bloke. Admired him at chelski, love him @ Arsenal.

Makes you wonder who we will be targetting in the summer?
I wouldn't mind having a look at Ollie Watkins for some striker depth. I think he's got some talent, he's got a great first touch, and fits bang into our young squad demographic.

If Aston Villa want to throw him in when we sign Declan Rice, that'd be great!

It's still very early, but Mudryk looks like being the next example of what happens when a player isn't where they want to be as opposed to when they are. Looks anything but a 100m signing so far.

I'd love for us to give Balogun some starts next season. He's been good at Riems. Different level but he's still young.
Saw an article recently about how much he was worth for sale.
I'd prefer a tall striker who is some kind of header threat but we could go with what's available;

Rice plays for West Ham. Would be nice if AV could just give him to us 😅

Looks very much like Pepe v2.0 Still early days though but not looking good.

Declan Rice would be the main target imo.

James Maddison and/or Joao Felix too tyvm.

Go big or go home ha!

You know the guy I really like from Aston Villa is Kamara. I would not hesitate if he was available. He played a brilliant game against us a couple of weeks back.

Always felt Mudryk was coerced into going there rather than of his own volition. It just didn’t seem right from the outset.

Arsenal did extremely well to pivot quickly and sign a player of the calibre of Trossard. Missing out on targets last summer meant signing no one. However this time the club clearly learned their lesson and have alternatives in mind, such as Trossard and then Jorginho. Both have been pivotal in the last few matches.
