Another difficult away game, Everton sitting 11 behind the ball for 90 mins.

Hit the post twice and Saka should have done much better with one or two chances. 20 minute patch there in the second half dicking around in the back-line begging Everton to pressure us.

Just need to keep grinding out the 3 points.

Two must win home games up next, Brighton then Villa.

Yes I felt he had more time than he realised, could’ve come inside on his left foot rather than the first timer on the right. He was very good though this match I felt. Our best alongside Rice and Zubimendi. And Saka was the difference a week ago against Wolves.

Thought we could have tried to isolate obrien and his lack of pace v Trossard/Martinelli.
Doesn't even look like a RB.

Don't know why ref needed var for the handball. Was obvious.

And it was bizarre how many replays he needed to see from VAR before deciding to call it a penalty. As obvious a handball as it gets. Blocked by both hands in fact.

Rice would have been my MOTM.
Former England striker Wayne Rooney has hailed Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice as a "future captain" of the Three Lions after watching the 26-year-old help the Gunners return to the top of the Premier League with victory at Everton.
He was all over the pitch [against Everton]. His decision-making – when to pass it, where to pass it, what foot to pass it to, his detail on his pass – it was a pleasure to watch. He was absolutely incredible.

"He was splitting centre-backs, taking the ball off [Arsenal's] centre-backs, acting as a third centre-back, then next minute he's in the box, trying to score a goal. Sometimes, some of the stuff he does is a bit underrated.

Havertz back in full training, that’s a boost.

Defensive injuries probably means that at least one of Timber or Saliba (or perhaps both) need to start tomorrow morning. Salmon could start at RB but not sure Arteta would do that.

Norgaard as well is an option for CB however more likely he’s in midfield as personally I don’t want to see Rice or Zubimendi start this one. Nwaneri, Eze, Merino all midfield options as well.

Madueke on the right, Martinelli on the left and quite likely Jesus starts. He has an excellent record against Palace.

I’d never heard of this keeper before, Benitez for Palace. And of course he turns up with a world class GK performance here haha.

Genuinely should be 3-4 nil. Domination here however time and again he’s kept Arsenal out.

Martinelli having a fantastic game on the left and now he’s down clutching his knee. Damn.
