Brilliant win, the game was a hell of a lot closer than the final scoreline suggested.

Again, we can thank Sczneczny for that. That was a another quality save to keep it 1-1.

Ramsey's header to open the scoring also looked a lot easier than it was. That cross from Ozil had a fair bit of heat on it.

Delicious? Lol. Thanks Bruce.

Giroud looks stuffed. We'll probably rotate a few players Hull. Maybe Theo up top if Giroud needs a rest? There's no one else who can play there at the moment. And yes I realise we still have Bendtner.

Yeah I'm guessing we'll rotate for the Hull game.
It was a good win we were well on top in the 1st half a lot closer in the 2nd but managed to get those 2 late goals.
All class from Ramsey showing respect to Cardiff and the Cardiff crowd clapped him both times when he scored.
Arteta had a good game I thought and Ozil had a couple of decent assists, also Sczcesny made a great save with that Campbell header.
Overall pleased with the win but am expecting rotations with the squad v Hull I'm guessing Walcott, Rosicky and either one of Bendtner, Gnabry, Vermaelen, Monreal to start.

Definitely rest Ozil. Would have liked Theo to get more minutes so that he could possibly start against Hull. Only had around 20 mins since returning, so might not be enough. Giroud needs a rest though.

Need Cazorla to find some form, so if Ozil is rested he can take more responsibility.

Rosicky, Theo and probably Flamini should start against Hull. Ozil could do with a break, which is easier to do given he has Rosicky and Santi as coverage but Giroud isn't in the same boat unfortunately.

Everton, Napoli and City in 10 days after Hull? Giroud has to be rested, surely?

Play Theo central. It's Hull at home - I know we shouldn't get too complacent but we have some good players in reserve and you couldn't have scheduled a better game to rest some first teamers.

I still think Ozil needs a rest - sadly we are not seeing the best of Santi because he is forced to play wide. He will run the game in Ozil's position.

I wouldn't be surprised if Per gets a precautionary one as well.

Jam packed fixtures list coming up:

- Wednesday night (UK time), home vs Hull
- Sunday 8th, home to Everton
- Wednesday 11th, away to Napoli (incredible 12 points hasn't been enough to qualify just yet)
- Saturday 14th, away to City

Then a mini break until the 23rd, when we play Chelsea at home. Huge set of games coming up. Thank heck we have some players back to assist with giving some blokes a breather, but geez we need Podolski to perhaps give Giroud a rest later this month.

It's only December yes, but those back to back fixtures against City and Chelsea could prove very decisive. Our current lead could evaporate very quickly, and it's crucial to finally start taking some points against the top 3-4 teams (something we haven't been able to do for a while).

But it's also damn exciting. It's a great feeling at the moment to be actually leading the pack, rather than chasing them.

Bellerin was voted best on for Watford in their 3-0 loss. Played as a wingback.

5 goals and 8 assists in his last 7 games.

Hopefully that League Cup exit proves to be a blessing in disguise.

Chelsea, City, Tottenham and United are all playing in midweek.

True, good point. Would've been handy to rest some players vs Napoli if we'd already qualified, but also there's a lot to be said for winning that game and topping the group. Would likely help avoid a repeat of last year in drawing the likes of Bayern.

Interesting reading this morning that we've had a ~£7m bid already rejected for Pato. Corinthians paid about £12m I believe for him only in January this year. Still only 24 but has a questionable injury record already.

Pato's been injury free for most of the past year though from what i've read he has adjusted his game so that he can try and prevent injury but in doing so no longer plays with same pace he did at Milan. He also makes a lot of sub appearances which would help as well.

I also dont think that Corinthians is a good fit for him (very defensive team) and he has fallen out with their manager.

Personally I want this transfer to happen as if their is one manager who can make Pato the world class player he is capable of being, its Wenger.

Poldolski to start training from next week, Wenger would consider him a week after that

and

Wenger says

on buying a striker in January…

I am not concerned about that. We have at the moment Yaya Sanogo who is a striker we brought in during the summer, who is coming back from injury in January. Hopefully he will help us in the second part of the season.
on a reported bid for Alexandre Pato...
No.
on speculation over a move for Alvaro Morata…
No. There is no truth in that. That is all I can say, I have not been in touch with them

With Sagna out for the Hull game could we play Vermalen at right back instead of Jenkinson? He has been horrible when called upon this term.

Also I would be starting Walcott up front with Giroud to the bench.

Rosicky and Flamini to start as well with Ramsay and Ozil to the bench.

Jenkinson will play.

I don't think Walcott playing in Giroud's position is a massive gamble either. Do it.

If I was Wenger i would be all over a loan to buy deal. Too much risk buying Pato up front.

Rosicky, Flamini and Walcott should start IMO, for Ozil, Ramsey and Giroud.

Jenko would be a walk up start for Sagna, not sure if the Verminator has ever played RB but he was pretty ordinary at times last season when filling it at LB.

God damn it Bacary.

Love that first name.
We got a crazy couple weeks don't we. Insane we gotta travel to Italy, come back home, then off to City.

Arsenal 1 -0 Hull

Hope we can rest a few and still get the points comfortably. **** January can't come quick enough.
