Exactly man. It's all well and good to keep possession (which I am a stickler for) but there has to be some attempt at a finished product. For all Elnenys poor shooting the other night, at least he was trying and same with Iwobi. Tell me who else tried from the edge of the box or further out? Sanchez does but he always picks the wrong moment. I couldn't tell you anyone else.
Alexis seems so out of form at the moment. His effort, as always, is unsurpassable. But that flair and magic that was there last season doesn't seem there atm.
Yep, I wasn't upset at all with Elneny. The fact that he's trying is all that fans expect to see, and eventually he'll get comfortable in this league and most of those shots will be hitting the target.
Alexis is so out of form that he's almost afraid to shoot from distance. Against Spurs late on he had a really good chance to shoot but tried to dummy one extra defender and lost possession, same thing happened against Watford. The Alexis of 2015 would've buried both. His only league goal since injury came v. Spurs when he made a striker's run on the right side. Wenger should really consider switching him and Campbell within games, or playing Alexis off Giroud (like he played off Di Natale at Udinese to such good effect).
