A much improved performance. In saying that atlest 3 good signings still needed. Good to see Giroud and Podolski on the scoresheet.

Good to get a win.

Santi is great, we really missed him last week. Poldi's left boot is a weapon and Giroud's first touch to get the ball under control for our 3rd was top notch.

Now to bury Fener at home, and maybe SIGN SOMEONE, before the NLD next week.

Just checking up results from other leagues, noticed that Coquelin got sent off in a 3-3 draw. Got a yellow in the 40th and another in the 41st.
Found it funny that a guy from the other team scored a penalty and got sent off in the same minute.
Sounded like a crazy game.

Anyway, glad for us to win but worried that Wenger will take this as a reason not to sign anyone else. Our bench was quite bad.

He said after the match that the result doesn't change anything in regards to transfers. So here's hoping we have a few new names in the squad for the NLD.

Stunning debut from Sanogo, managed to have the awkward, ungainly and laconic motion of Diaby with none of the dribbling skills.

If we're expecting him to play a lot of minutes and contribute meaningfully this season...

In fairness, if Walcott had played a better little cross on about 85 minutes Sanogo would've been gifted his first EPL goal within 5 minutes on the pitch. Cesc or Santi would've made it happen if they'd been the one carrying the ball.

Maybe he'll have the same injury record....

It's not his fault he's our only signing.

The kid is going to have the reputation of being a nobody forever.

Has Sanogo lost weight since he joined us? I know that was only a month or so ago, but I recall him being built heavier, especially around the upper body. Looked a lot leaner last night when he came on for a cameo. Could be way wrong, or maybe I'm just imaging Benteke in his place.

20 years old though, plenty of time on his side. Depending on the situation Tuesday night in the 2nd leg vs Fener, it might be worthwhile taking Giroud/Podolski off at around the 60 minute mark and giving Sanogo a good run out there.

He actually reminds me of Kanu when I look at him run about.

Kanu's 15 minute hatrick at the bridge in 99/00 I believe is still one of the greatest games I've ever watched. His winner was ridiculous. Remember waking up my parents as I was jumping up and down on the couch downstairs. Loved that bloke.

Top win that. Giroud took his chance well. I hope that Wenger doesn't think that we are poised to have a great season with the paper thin squad we have after last night's result.

Fulham were crap it must be said.

That's the fear I think we all have. Every win potentially pushes Wenger's head further into the sand. But surely reinforcements are coming, not sure if they'll be here before the NLD though.

Giroud has 3 goals in the last week.

Yeah, the irony of being depressed when your team wins is not what this game is about.

Giroud is a battler and away from home in the middle of winter, he is of some value and as you said, 3 goals in the last week is good stuff.
