Could Cazorla or Ozil play as a striker? Because if Giroud goes down before pod comes back we r in trouble. Walcott could play striker but we r also a bit short on wingers with Ox and Pod out.

Plan B would be Walcott at centre forward, then Sanogo. Or then Bendtner. A lot would have to go wrong for us (touch wood) to even consider having to use Santi or Ozil etc out of position.

Ryo and Gnabry will feature a fair bit in the first team this season. Hopefully Ryo's injuries are behind him.

OK I know I will probably get laughed at... however when RvP and Eduardo were injured a few years back and we were sitting top of the table... our strike force was Adebayor and Bendtner.

I am not against allowing Bendtner to cover in crisis.

Me either.

He's the best in the world, he does't deserve to be playing reserves.

Also, I've read in a couple of places that we may be sniffing around Mohamed Sissoko who was released by PSG before the window closed. Would actually be quite a quality depth player if more defenders go down.

Good depth player for us, and would be exactly what we need.

Can someone tell me the timelines on the injuries of:

Arteta
Ox
Diaby

Any chance of Sagna becoming a possible CB role, did very well there the couple of times he was required last year, and Jenk is showing a bit, for what it is worth I am going to quickly put together a squad when we are FULLY FIT!

- Arteta was initially out for 6 weeks. After the international break, he should be 2 weeks away. So expect him to miss another 8 weeks.
- Chamberlain is around 2 weeks into a 3 month layoff.
- Diaby is dead.

Sagna is a better CB than RB nowadays. He has lost his legs a bit but playing CB eases the workload a little.

"Ozil to the left of me, Carzola to the right, stuck in the middle Giroud"

Ramsey - Wilshere
----- Ozil ----------

This will be our midfield even when Arteta returns. Though if Jack fails to adapt to the deeper role then Arteta will partner Ramsey, though I suspect Jack will easily adapt to the role, just needs to make sure he passes the ball more rather than dribble. His best form came playing in a similar role in the 10/11 season where he won our player of the season.

I have made my opinion on Bendtner pretty clear around these parts before.

That day the selfish flog tried to backheel Fabregas' certain goal at the Nou Camp in a semi final (?) of the Champions League and cleared it off the line instead was the day I buried him forever.

Sanogo & Henry on loan before him.

Giroud keeping fit is critical to our season. He's our most valuable player ATM ...

Structurally & defensively on occasion ...

Giroud has missed something like 6 games of football injured since 2005. Expect him to pick up an injury on international duty.

Nice jinx Tom. He is certain to be injured now. Thankfully mundy will cuddle him back to recovery. Happy endings included.

"Next season, I can finally make my breakthrough and then I still have two years to become better than Zlatan - and I will," said Bendtner in June 2009. "By then I will be close to my peak and will be able to look upon myself as one of the world's greatest strikers."

Hmm. Not sure how that's working out for him....

Yep no one from Madrid is happy. Read that he's sold seven times the amount of shirts that Bale has and on the real madrid facebook they had a picture of Bale but all the comments were about Ozil with most having a 1000+ likes then there was one 'Welcome to Madrid Bale' which had 6 likes.

It's hard to say which I'm enjoying more, the Spurs fans bitching about how the 'special relationship' has cost them Bale and given us Ozil after we've beaten them in the derby, or watching the Madrid fans and players turn on the club for doing it.

Delicious

Arsenal to meet Madrid in the CL this season or next season, with Ozil playing a game later described by Lionel Messi as "the most thunderously awe inspiring 90 minutes of anything I've ever seen"

I've missed the hooha gents, what has Ronaldo said?

The usual rags quoting him as telling his Portugal team mates he's upset/angered by the sale, because Bale won't be able to feed him the ball like Ozil was. Queue similar sentiment from half the rest of the squad.
