Great post - one of the best I've read on here, has provided clarity to the whole fan divide sitch. I still believe there's an overreaction, however. City/Chelsea/United all have carried passengers in the past, it's not an Arsenal-exclusive trend.

Arteta was a quick fill in for Nasri, really. Showed glimpses of quality in 11/12, but has stalled and essentially chewed up wage space ever since. Will be involved in the club for quite some time through coaching though which I'm more than happy with. Flamini is imo a sound squad player; a gotoable, reliable back up for that DM role-unfortunately he's been overplayed since he returned due to a combination of Wenger overrating his ability/inadequate player stocks in that area of the pitch.

No manager in the world is perfect - but Wenger's strength's heavily outweigh his downfalls, even post-Highbury. Question his judgement, for sure, I do regularly. But there's nothing we can do to change his stance on certain things and how Arsenal should function as a whole.

At the end of the day, disagreeing with the more detailed aspects of Wenger's management is perfectly normal, however branding the man himself as anything but a terrific influence on the club is in my opinion totally out of order.

And I hope at the start of your discussion you weren't subtly labelling me as unknowledgeable/out-of-the-know; there's those type of fans, and then there's knowitalls with differing opinions to the majority-I fall in to the latter category.

Wasn't inferring that at all - just mentioned it to highlight how knowledgeable supporters should, with the benefit of cooling down and observing the bigger picture (admittedly something myself and others haven't been great at at times), be able to look at Wenger's few flaws in isolation and for what they are.

He is stubborn in some ways and it has, at times, cost us onfield. But not many great managers don't fall into that category. The fact he went early for Elneny is cause for optimism, and we're still in a very good position on-field and flying off-field.

Doubtful that Rosicky starts. Could see Kos starting with Chambers partnering Elneny. Though Elneny should be playing as the more defensive of the two if we want to get him used to that position.

Wouldn't mind Sanchez coming off the bench after his layoff, but knowing Wenger he'll start him.

I'd like to see Campbell given a run in the #10 spot in this game, been one of our more creative players in the last few weeks.

Seconded. Wouldn't mind this:

---------------- Ospina ------------------
Debuchy - Gabriel - Chambers - Gibbs
---------- Elneny ----- Ox ---------------
Campbell ------ Ramsey ------ Sanchez
--------------- Walcott ------------------

Campbell and Ramsey rotating. Elneny partnered with Ox gives him a real taste of what it's like to shield a vulnerable back four. Give Kos and Ozil the game off.

We haven't had this fit a squad in years. Amazing scenes.

Predicting ...

Ospina
Bellerin - Gabriel - Chambers - Gibbs
Elneny - Arteta
Ox - Rosicky - Sanchez
Walcott

Cech, Monreal, Coq, Ramsey, Ozil, Campbell, Giroud
This would be good but I think he will play more senior players unfortunately.

Have said it many times before, we should be gunning for every chance at silverware.

Only two matches remain in the champions league.

After that, surely a club with our resources should be able to challenge on a Cup and League front.

Agree, but Leicester's distraction-free schedule definitely has me concerned.

We really need to sort our own shit out before worrying about other clubs.

We've had a chance to create a little gap on top of the table, but have taken just 2 points from our last available 9.

We should be focussing on what we can do. Not getting distracted about other club's distractions.

All bar two players on our list are available, easily have the squad to push for league and cup. I'd rather keep a winning mentality and rotate the squad than tank the Cup in order to focus entirely on the League.

heck Leicester, we will demolish them at the Emirates in a few weeks time after they have lost consecutive games to Liverpool and City to knock them out of the equation anyway!

> We're about to sign Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze - captain and striker respectively of Nigeria's 2015 under-17 World Cup-winning side.

> Wilshere out for another 6 weeks. Has already started running but has to regain fitness according to Wenger.

> Elneny should start tonight, Wenger hinted as much.

Loving the timeslot :$ - yet another Arsenal match I have to miss. Nearly 22, means I'm ageing and developing that Cruyff 'it's too late for me' mentality.

5am/6am KO's are my one and only.

Kali/Chuckweezy have posed for a photo at Colney w/ Kanu, Wenger and Gazidis. Looking forward to watching them tear it up with Willock, Jeff, Gedion, Sanogo and Chambers in the next Arsenal era.

I'm in my late 20s - at least I have an excuse! You're young, no leg to stand on :D

Ahh Kanu. His 15 minute hattrick to sink Chelsea at The Bridge (came on when we were 2-0 down) is one of my favorite Arsenal moments. His third was ridiculous. Basically from the byline.
