Ox has looked far better than Walcott to me. At least he actually gets the ball and tries to take people on.
And runs himself into a dead end and bad turnover from under his feet every single time.

Walcott doesn't even touch the ball. He's been anonymous. I'd rather someone attempt to get the ball and try something than someone who doesn't even get a touch. And runs himself into a dead end and bad turnover from under his feet every single time.

I wonder if having him play off Giroud is the key? Able to play a quick one two with Giroud who is amazing at that kind of interplay and thus allowing Theo's pace to beat the backline.Remember his hat-trick against Newcastle in December 2012? Stellar performance, that was, world class in fact - in the midst of his contract-on-hold saga.
As you say glen, the contrast between good/bad performances with Theo is frustratingly bad. One thing worth noting is his status on the wage bill. Walcott is up there with Ozil and Alexis on 140k p/w (before tax). Wenger being the notoriously frugal man he is post-Highbury wouldn't be instructing Gazidis and co. to negotiate such a substantial offer for Theo if he was anywhere but in our first Xl plans for years to come.

I don't think that's true. You have got to be kidding, Walcott on the same salary level as Ozil and Alexis??? He is sporadic at best. I do give Ox some leeway because he is still only 22. I read somewhere that Real Madrid have a buy back clause in the transfer agreement for Ozil. I'm wondering if this may be activated if we finish 4th again.
Thanks for clarifying, I shudder to think how many assists Ozil would have now if he had someone decent at the other end of his passes to stuff them in the net consistently. Giroud is a reasonable striker but misses too many easy ones.I don't think that's true.
The way I read it, they get the chance to match an offer if we try and sell him to another Spanish club.
And what are we to do with Mr Wilshire in the summer? You would wonder if he is just a bench player now even when fully fit. I think he needs to move on.
I thought we should have sold him last summer when city showed interest but would Wenger spend the money anyways ? Or just add it to the cash reserves ?And what are we to do with Mr Wilshire in the summer? You would wonder if he is just a bench player now even when fully fit. I think he needs to move on.
Yep, you watch Ox and you think "how's he going to **** this up" ?And runs himself into a dead end and bad turnover from under his feet every single time.
A lot of players would dance before warmup. It is meaningless. The price hike is unbelievable. The club's arrogance at the minute is insane.
Anybody see Ox having a dance in the tunnel before the warmup? Sums him and the club's attitude up to an absolute tee. Bunch of weak unprofessional ***** bar only a few.
Has now been withdrawn, shit decision to start with but good to see they actually noticed the fan backlash. The club is a joke. Charge fans a surcharge for the Barca match.
Wenger has said it is to spend on players. Give me a ******* break.
